Ur tv have a big back like hunt back creature?Yes?This tv it is not a Digital tv.It is an old CRT tv-tube analogue design tv.This tv still will work and have a broadcasting incomming signal if it is hook up to a pay services tv like Satalites tv like Direct Tv,Dish Network tv,Timewarner or Cox Cables services and ATT U verise or Verizon Fio digital hook up.If u wanted to watch a switch over FREE OVER THE AIR DIGITAL incomming broadcasting signal for this tv it will not work alone, the tv must have be to hook up to a BOX that call a DIGITAL CONVERTER BOX than this tv will work for a FREE OVER THE AIR DIGITAL broadcasting tv channels stantions. This DIGITAL CONVERTER BOX are no longer on sale on regular Stores.Tries websites like Amazon.com,Ebay.com will able to buy these BOXES so call DIGITAL CONVERTER BOX.
Your TV will require a Digital Converter Box to recieve over the air Digital Television Signals. You will need to hook up the antenna to the converter box and then hook your converter box to the TV. Hooking your television directly to a digital antenna will not get you Digital signals...only analog signals.
Your TV is NOT digital ready. IF you do not have cable or satellite, you will need a converter box. If you do have cable or satellite you have nothing to do or worry about as the cable or satellite box will automatically do the conversion for you. Hope this helps
If you have cable TV, satellite TV, or FIOS, the coupon eligible converter boxes aren't needed and aren't useful with those services. They gov't coupon converter boxes are only good for reception with a regular TV antenna or rabbit ears.
According to the specs on epinions.com, no, this TV does not have a digital tuner. So, if you use a rooftop TV antenna (not satellite dish) or an indoor TV antenna, you WILL need an ATSC to NTSC converter box. You need not wait until next year, however, as most U.S. TV stations are also broadcasting digital (ATSC) now.
Hook cable directly to television ( no box ) , Then autoprogram the set if you still have the problem replace the tuner it is about $30 rebuilt from Tip Top tuners.Do not attempt if you dont feel comfortable soldering precisely. IRIONS TV & Electronics www.Irionstvshop.com
Ours is doing the same thing except on Video 1. I called Sanyo customer service and they said I need the original remote. They were willing to sell me one for $20. Here is what I did instead. I used a cable box and hooked the cable in to it. Then I took the type of cables that will hook into my video 1 slot and plugged them in there and plugged them into the back of the cable box in the "cable out" positions. It worked ! If you do not have a cable box you might try a DVD/VCR combo or a VCR. Good Luck
The Magnavox 27MS343S is a standard analog 27" TV. It is not high definition and therefore cannot generate a posterized or pixelated picture. I will bet you are using a digital cable box or satellite reveiver and the problem is in that box, not the TV. Hook up a regular VCR to the TV, set the TV to channel 3, put in a good pre-recorded tape and hit PLAY. If the tape plays nice and clear on the TV, the problem is in your digital box.
