Problem for Transcend 4GB JetFlash 110 USB 2.0 Flash Drive My pen drive gets heated up and not recognised by computer. what can i do. pl. help

Flash drive not detected, it means there is damage to hardware.

Damage to hardware, there are two types
1. Cracked solder.
Solution: Open flash drive casings, heat the tin solder.

2. Resistor (R) broken
Solution: Open flash drive casings, replace the resistor.

try using this software to format it.. use it in XP or Vista www [dot].transcend [dot] nl/support/dlcenter/ORT_Software.asp?Link=OnLineRecovery.exe

remove the USB drive, reboot your system and plug the drive in...

If system still doesn't recognise the device, update your chipset from your manufacturer's website.
