Question about Microsoft Windows XP Professional for PC
Basically you will change a registry key, do a few other steps and then you can go through the key activation process and enter a new LEGAL key you purchase online from a reputable supplier. $50 - $120 or less if you are lucky.
This process will not delete any files and will not require you having to reinstall all your software.
There are many sites out there that offer this answer, it's not difficult, but it is a little lengthy.
This second link seems to offer a program you can use to insert the newly acquired key easily.
I say seems as I am using Vista.
