Question about Gateway MX6442 Notebook
Hi well what has happened is that the BIOS Password has somehow been enabled. Now this is NOT good, and impossible, to unlock without the Manufacturers Unlocking code.
What you MUST do is contact an authorised Gateway supplier/repair center, and with proof of purchase, they will then provide you with an Unlock code.
There is honestly NO way around this as a special code is stored in NON-Volatile ROM. That unless addressed and reprogrammed correctly simply will not allow access. You will be charged for this service unfortunately.
The reason this is used is to stop laptops being misappropriated. Which is why one must supply proof of ownership.
