Have you checked the cursor speed settings under control panel > mouse?
Also make sure that you have put fresh batteries in the mouse of correct voltage and in the right alignment. Also check for interference like magnets, speakets, electromagnetic interference of any sort.
Stay within 4 feet of the receiver and try to elevate the receiver by placing it on a couple of books, etc (if not dongle type)

Hope that helps!

Also ensure that you use a proper mouse pad. Something with multi-colors, or striated lines will work well with optical/laser mice.

Mouser curser not responding.

try it in safemode
just before windows starts press f8 a couple of times.
Select Safe mode
see if the mousse works there.
If it doesn't then it's probably a hardware failure. get another mouse.
If it does work then some setting is mess up in windows.
while in safemode goto control panel- system- device manager
in device manager delete the mouse profile and reboot

Dell mouse: right click shows and scroll curser not spellcheck

Try a different mouse on it to see if it does the same thing. Your mouse might be failing on you. If it does the same thing with a different mouse then it might be the software problem or perhaps drivers. You can also try to uninstall and reinstall the drivers for your mouse. If your running windows 2000 or later version of windows you can uninstall in device manager and restart the computer with the mouse still connected and windows should reinstall drivers for the mouse automatically. Goodluck!
