Question about D-Link DI 514 Wireless Router (DI-514)
I used the D-link wireless router with comcast before, but the service has been changed since then and they installed this worthless d-link that doesn't provide wireless access even downstairs.
How do I change the router to the DI 514?
Thanks for your help!
If you want to use your former router, you just have to connect the previous router in between your modem and computer. Try turning off all the devices (modem, router and computer) for 2 minutes. Then turn on the modem first, wait for the lights to be stable then turn on the router. When the router lights are okay that is the time that you can turn on the computer and check the internet connection.
If the Internet connection still has not come back, you will have to reconfigure it for Comcast connection. You can try using the setup CD or access the setup wizard using 192.168.0.1. User name is admin and leave the password empty then run the wizard.
