If the leak is coming from the front end of the cartridge (black plastic spindle) you will need to replace the cartridge all together. The internal seals would have failed which causes the water to pass through the front of the cartridge and down the fascia of the shower valve.

You will need to turn off both the hot

Aqualisa shower leaking behind tiles, without seeing this a plumber told me it is the cartridge. Is this correct if I replace it will this stop leak

Yes. Remove the handle and look behind the plate, you will see a brass housing (valve) and a plastic insert inside it (cartridge). It is most likely leaking from that due to a bad seal. DO NOT try to replace the cartridge without shutting off the water or 'you're gonna have a bad time'.

Aqualisa aquastream - when I turn it on the water pours down the wall. When turned off no trickle or leaks.

Surely something is leaking. I am attaching a diagram of the parts inside the unit for your reference. See if you can access the parts to find out which one is leaking and replace the broken part.

Hansgrohe shower valve leaks

If the shower drips constantly after you turn it off you will need a volume control cartridge of some sort. Without being abe to properly identify your valve I do not know what type of cartridge you will need. Feel free to contact me at Hansgrohe Tech. 1-800-334-0455 press 2 for tech and ask for David Scarborough. I can help identify the valve and if it is ours I can get you the part numbers you will need to make repairs.

6 yr old Aqualisa shower working perfectly well. But turned itself on last night. No light showing on dial/on switch. Wouldn't turn "off" for me. Ran for 15mins and then switched off!

Good Aternoon lrmulholland,

Do you know what model Aqualisa shower you have or are you able to take a photo of it for us? That would be very useful.

Danze UPC tub/shower valve leaks constantly at tub spout

shut off water and pull cartridge...go to lowes or plumbing supply and match up cartridge and replace...you may also just replace seats and springs if cartridge is ok....cheaper...but if not sure just replace whole cartridge...make sure hot is on left...

The 'boost' button on my aqualisa digital shower won't switch off. It comes on when I press the shower on (without actually pressing the boost button) and when I press the boost button to try...

Good Morning drlesleyanne. The issue you describe will down to the PCB inside the push button controller. If this does not send the correct signal to the processor box it can cause the unit to 'fail safe' and this is why the unit needs a power reboot. The remedy to this is to replace the push button control itself and once installed should allow the shower to work correctly again. All our digital products have five year guarantees, so you can always call our Customer Service line on 01959 560010 and they will replace this for free.

Kind Regards,
