My hp laserjet 2200 suddenly quite picking up paper. The rollers roll but nothing comes out. After a few minutes the error lights come on and must be reset by powering off then on again. This started when I was trying to feed labels in manually but now it won't work on any paper even with the manual feed doors all closed.

I'll try alcohol on the main roller but I think there may be something else going on; now, when I test it, there is a noise as if a belt was slipping. Sounds like it's coming from where the paper exits the printer.

    Thanks,
    Dan

Try cleaning the rollers with a cloth moistened with alcohol.
The error can be reset by opening the top cover and closing it again.
I trust that you were using the manual feed tray to feed the labels.

Print a configuration page. Power on the printer. Push the GO button(bottom button) and the CANCEL button(top button) at the same time. Release both and a config page should print. If it fails, make note of the lights that are on or blinking.

Hp laserjet m3035 mfp does not take up the paper squeaks and reports paper jam - no papaer is jammed

Hello,

The most common cause of this type of Phantom paper jam is worn pickup rollers and separation pads in the paper trays. When these rollers get worn the gripping surface can not grab the paper correctly so no paper is fed into the printer and the printer gives the paper jam error. The rollers are very easy to replace, it takes about 20 minutes total. Here is a link to more information about the roller maint kit:

Cannot pick paper from tray 2

The paper pick-up oller may be broken on the left hand side. If you take tray out and can roll pick up roller freely then you have to replace that roller with a new one

Hp laser 4000 keeps coming up w/ 41.5 error

41.5 is a paper feed error, take out the paper tray and clean the rubber roller above where the paper goes with a cloth just damp with water. Dirt on that roller will stop it from picking up the paper.

Re HP Laserjet 4P after inserting envelope to print, upon giving PRINT command, printer will not print and indicates PAPER JAM. However, there is no real paper jam. No problem printing regular 8 1/2 x 11...

Most likely a bad pick up roller these machines will give a jam error if the paper or envelope is not picked up. Try cleaning the roll for the tray you are having the trouble with if the condition improves you have found the problem.
Hope this helps

From the service manual:

Possible Causes:
Failure to feed possible causes include:
• Edge locking
• Worn or contaminated pick tires
• Overfilling of tray past the fill line.

Action:

Fan media.
Turn media over.
Reduce amount of media loaded in tray 1.
Replace pick tires.*

To replace pick tires:

Integrated tray autocompensator pick roll assembly removal

down.

Remove the paper cassette and the toner cartridge then turn the machine upside down and look at the rubber roller. It SHOULD NOT spin freely.
