The easy way to get a little more ajustment of about 4-5 inches at 100 yds is to,,,cut up a 3 bit's of 35mm colour film to fit under the scope,,undo the rear scope top mount and lift the eye bell off its mount,,now slip the 3 bits of 35mm film under the scope body and reclamp the top mount cap,,,dont forse it up to tight ,,this will lift the point of aim
at least 4 or 5 inches at 100 yds

How to reset bushnell elevation adjustment to zero?

If you want to center the cross hair in the scope
Rotate elevation down to it stops then count up clicks to it stops then half number and rotate down that number then repeat with windage or you could use two v blocks and view a point through the scope and rotate scope and adjust cross hair until no deviation from a fixed point up or down left or right
Hope this helps

Cannot set wind age and elevation on a Nikon pro staff riflescope (not enough adjustment )

Check you mounts. If mounted properly you should have enough. if they are not moving at all you have prob broken the fine wires that form the crosshairs.

Which direction do you turn windage and elevation

To raise the point of impact, turn the elevation screw counterclockwise. To shift left, turn windage screw clockwise. If you raise the horizontal cross hair you will lower the point of impact of the bullet. If you move the vertical cross hair to the right the shot placement will go to the left. Make small adjustments tap the scope with a screwdriver handle to give it a shock, not to hard to help move the cross hairs and try to bore sight first. Hope this helps Fix ya up.

How to disassemble my bushnell sportsman rifle scopes coz i wnt to clean it

On my Bushnell scope I have an adjustable angle ring that will bring in the view, it is held in place with 1 screw. remove it and pull down towards the windage and elevation adjustment screws. There are 3 tiny phillips screws, remove them. Then unscrew the end of the Eye Peice end peice with the lens in it. inside on the outer edge of the main tube there is a locking ring that keeps the eye peice from unscrewing off, remove it and unscrew the entire eye peice. you are now ready remove the inner tube. Be careful here this is where you can damage the cross hairs and lose the leaf spring that maintains pressure against the windage and elevation screws. When you reassemble after cleaning and with the elevation screw at 12 o'clock and windage screw at 3 o;colck, the leaf spring will be in the 7 or 8 O"clock position, it just sits in there up against a little ridge inside, with the bow facing to the center. Back off the elevation and windage screws all the way so they don't block the inner tube from going in all the way. Once it is in adjust it so the cross hairs are orented correctly and put it back together. If you want to refill with Nitrogen remove the front lense and take to someone that fills tires with Nitrogen and inject the nitrogen into the scope, Quickly reinstall the front lens as nitrogen is about 3% lighter than air and if you take too long it will all escape.
This worked well for me. Good Luck and Happy shooting

Keep having to resight scope

Sounds like they are right. The cross hair adjustment mechanism may be defective. I'd call bushnell and see what they can do for you.

Does it take some type of gel under the lights, the colors are a little blurry

i also have this tv. i removed backcleaned mirrior, back of screen and lenses VERY GOOD. Then turned on tv go to convergence, sepaerate cross hairs then adjust focus on lenses. Then lenses rotate maybe about a 1/3 turn total by hand. Grab ring that houses lenses and turn until cross hairs are as clear as possible. This can be done with out help by watching inside of screen. red and green are adjustable, the blue is adjustablealso but i couldnt find blue cross hairs, maybe by covering red and green lenses the blue will show on screen. anyway when done and cross hairs are clear, lenses, mirror and screen are clean, you can adjust covergence and get a very clear screencleaning will also brighten pic. Cross hairs sideways?! BSA scope HM39X50RGBD Only 50 shots threw new Gamo Socom Extreme. Gun came with scope pre-installed.

If you are seeing an X you need to loosen the scope rings, re-level your scope and re-tighten the scope rings. 10-20 in/lbs on the ring screws, 15-30 in/lbs on the mounting screws. Typical configuration of the turrets is one on the top, one on the right side.

Cross hairs canting to the left..how do i recenter the recticle?

From your short description, it sounds like the Horozontal (the ELEVATION) reticle is canted to the left. If that IS the case then do this;
Sand bag the rifle on what you know is a level and firm surface. The rifle MUST be level itself. You can use a small level to determine this.
Without moving the rifle, look through the scope and determine if indeed the horozontal or ELEVATION reticle is indeed canted. The reticle should be LEVEL in relation to the ground and the rifle itself.
If it still appears to be canted, loosen the set screws of the scope ring caps (Not the scope mounts) and while looking through the scope, gently rotate the barrel of the scope clock wise until the Horozontal reticle appears to be now level. Re-tighten the scope ring caps and look through the scope again to make sure the Reticle is still 'level'.
You must now make sure that your scope is still 'zero'd'.

IF the issue is something other than what I have assumed from your description, please send me a msg. with more detail and I will be able to resolve whatever issue you are having. Include the 'Brand and model', plus the power of it, and the brand/model/cal. of the rifle the scope is mounted on.

Good luck. :)

Scope out of elevation adjustment

If you are sure that the scope was mounted correctly to begin with, ie plenty of elevation left THEN you can install a slanted rail that will increase you elevation potential. Of course, that comes at the cost of having less elevation at the lower end.

A second solution is rings, like those by Burris with the plastic inserts. They have an accessory insert kit for these Signature Zee rings that will let you increase your elevation. Rings are ca 30 and the kit'll be ca 10, so 40 total.

If you're just missing a wee bit of elevation you could just lightly shim the scope in your current rings.

Are you looking set the eye relief or the focus ring?

For eye relief you need to loosen the scope in the rings, mount the rifle to your shoulder with your standard hold and cheek weld. At this point, slide the scope back and forth in the rings until you obtain a full field of view. Tighten one of the rings slightly, dismount and remount the rifle several times to ensure correct adjustment. Level scope and tighten rings a final time.

For focus adjustment (remember that you are using the eyepiece to focus on the cross hair, not your target!) loosen the lock ring and turn the eyepiece until the cross hair is focused. It is best if you check it several times by closing and opening your eye several times. The crosshair should be instantly in focus. If your eye must adjust, then you need to refocus until the focus is instant.

The two dials on the scope are for adjusting the bullet point of impact. They will typically move POI 1/4 inch at 100 yards.
