KEYBOARD DOES NOT WORK BUT MOUSE DOES

Check the bottom of the mouse for a small button which will allow you to put the mouse into a synchronization mode. The receiver will have a similar button. Press both and move the mouse around a little until the receiver stops blinking, indicating that the mouse is now synchronized with the receiver.

hi Karnarc.
How do I troubleshoot my Gateway wireless keyboard and mouse? How do I troubleshoot my wireless keyboard and mouse?
If you are experiencing issues with your wireless keyboard and mouse not working properly, perform the following steps to troubleshoot the wireless keyboard and mouse.
  1. Make sure the USB connector from the receiver is properly plugged into a USB port on the computer. Some systems ship with the receiver already preinstalled in the unit itself. Please check your mouse to see if there is a receiver inside of the battery compartment door.
  2. Make sure wireless keyboard is not on a metallic surface.
  3. Ensure that the receiver is 8-inches from other electrical devices.
  4. Try plugging the receiver into a different USB port to ensure that the USB port is working properly.
  5. Check the batteries in the keyboard and mouse to make sure they are installed correctly.
  6. Test the batteries to ensure that they still have a charge.
  7. Verify the On/Off switch on the keyboard and mouse are switched to On.
  8. Some receivers, keyboards, and mice may have a connect button. If so, follow the steps below:
    1. Plug the USB receiver into a USB port on your computer.
    2. Press the connect button on top of the receiver and the button will blink.
    3. Press the connect button on the bottom of the keyboard to activate the wireless connection.
    4. Press the connect button on top of the receiver and the button will blink.
    5. Press the connect button on the bottom of the mouse to activate the wireless connection.

Wireless mouse stopped working.

Unplug the wireless receiver from the back of the computer. Wait 10 seconds and replug back in. Check connectivity. If nothing then check batteries in mouse, if still nothing try click the Connect button on the wireless receiever and then underneath the keyboard...repaet the process for the mouse. You should get something on the screen stating the channel 1 is for the keyboard and channel 2 is for the mouse. Hope this helps! - Erick :-)

Disconnected my computer for repair and now my mouse and keypad are not working. Suggestions?

Hi,
First of all make sure there are new batteries in the keyboard and mouse.
Connect the receiver to the USB port and press the connect button on the receiver.
Look under the mouse and the keyboard for the small connect buttons and press them.

To activate the mouse right click. To activate the keyboard hit the space bar.

I just recently purchased the wireless keyboard and mouse. Thought I was following the instructions for installing them. The computer says they are installed properly, yet the keyboard won't work. Can't...

usually these have a tiny "Connect" Button on the bottom of the keyboard, mouse, and a button on the receiver. Have you followed the sync procedure with this ?

Is there another wireless device nearby that may be interfering ?

Is it one receiver for both devices ?

Does the mouse work ?

Have you tried a 2nd set of batteries on your keyboard ??

Hope this helps.

Connection

There is usually a "Connect" button on the devices (Mouse & Keyboard) and on the receiver the unit connected to the computer. Hit the "Connect" button on the receiver then the ones on the Mouse and Keyboard.

Hopefully that works...

If not comment back.
