I dont't think this is the video card causing this error, it just may be the harddisk drive that is freezing up the unit, Check in your Bios for a HDD checking feature. And run a full scan on the HDD to determine if it is indeed the HDD. If you think its the video card remove it and install a different card to verify this is the problem, most modern motherboard come with built in video capability. take out the 2400 and connect to the on board video connector and try booting then, if same results then either windows is corrupted or the HDD is faulty.
