Hi:
I dont't think this is the video card causing this error, it just may be the harddisk drive that is freezing up the unit, Check in your Bios for a HDD checking feature. And run a full scan on the HDD to determine if it is indeed the HDD. If you think its the video card remove it and install a different card to verify this is the problem, most modern motherboard come with built in video capability. take out the 2400 and connect to the on board video connector and try booting then, if same results then either windows is corrupted or the HDD is faulty.

OC problem - boots into black screen after botched OC

Hello booting to safe mode is by pressing the F8 button
while you boot
And select one of the boot options useualy boot with network support. Out of safe mode is just to reboot.

Try to set the graphic settings back to factory specs.
If you still have black screen you might have burned the gpu chip
and the graphic card must be renewed.

If you have any luck try to renew the driver from here:

If you are running another windows system select it here:

Raedon DDR video card

Check that you have installed the correct driver for your model video card and the correct OS version.
To check that the video card and driver is working, you may have to boot up in Safe Mode, go to Control Paned - System - Click on Hardware Tab - Click on Device Manager button - scroll down the list and if you see a yellow ? against the video then there is a problem with the video driver.

The problem could be that the refresh rate for the monitor is too high for the monitor to handle.
Boot up your computer and press F8 and then run in Safe Mode, go to Control Panel - Display - click on Settings Tab - click on Advance the Monitor Tab and change the refresh rate to 75Hz or lower.
Reboot again
