Question about JVC BR-DV600U Mini DV VCR
JVC BR-DV600U Error code 72-03 The unit turns on runs for a few seconds, drum runs while cleaning roller does its check then turns off the condensation display is iluminated, when it does accept tape it loads as far as tape goes in and down but does not fully load around drum.I pulled out the reel tables assy and cleaned both take up and supply, cleaned the idler also.
Please find your service manual above.
From experience I would suspect the "Mode Switch" assembly. This is the usually problem with this machine. But, also, you may have a problem with your condensation sensor, however. This and the mode switch, may be an interconnected fault.
These units are so complex and delicate that they MUST be serviced by a competent and skilled Engineer.
It is my professional recommendation, that you Contact JVC, and inquire as to a location of an Authorised servicing center. Now when there, ask them for a 'Quote" before allowing repairs to proceed. This then will allow you to make an informed decision as to the repair and it's costings.
