Have you tried checking if the camera driver is working fine?

Here's what you need to do:

Right Click on Computer. Go to Manage. Then, Device Manager.

Look for the camera driver, or look for a driver with an X mark or a question mark.

You can also update the driver. To make sure that all drivers are updated and that you are safe from getting any problem, then install an automatic updater like RadarSync. You don't need to do something because it will update them automatically.

Kodak easyshare software will not allow choice of how to download


You need to change the camera driver to back to windows default.
If you cannot see the camera icon under computer.
Vista
• Click Start icon
• Right-click Computer select Properties
• Select Device Manager
• Go to Driver tab and select Update Driver
• Select Browse my computer for driver software.
• Select Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer.
• Select Digital Still Camera
• Hit Next
XP
• Click Start icon
• Right-click My Computer select Properties
• Select Hardware
• Select Device Manager
• Go to Driver tab and select Update Driver
• Select Install from a list or specific location.
• Select Don't search I will choose the drivers to install
• Hit Next
• Select Digital Still Camera
• Hit Next

Need new disk to download on new computer powershot A75 3.2 mega pixels


You can either order another one through Canon for $19.95 I believe.

Also you can connect your camera and download without it as long as you have the driver updated. You can get the driver by going to Canon website, finding your camera's downloads and drivers section and selecting your operating system.

If this doesn't solve it, update the driver software from your device manager. If your camera shows up there, make sure it is the only imaging device that shows up, right click and update driver software by having your computer search automatically. This should work assuming your camera is compatible with your OS. Feel free to ask any other questions if this doesn't resolve your issue.

Driver update problem for digital camera


In order to get rid of the error, you have uninstall the driver, update your operating system with updates from Microsoft (see below for instructions) and follow these suggestions:
  1. Best method, copy the photos to the computer by connecting a card reader to the computer and plug the SD card into the card reader and transfer using your favorite software (like Picasa) or through My Computer.
  2. Drivers are not required for the A400 and Windows XP. So you can plug in the camera, without drivers and it should work. This appears to be the one that's not working, You need to un-install the drivers and either reinstall, try updated drivers from the links below, or don't use the drivers.

About the error "driver update failed" rea

I personally have stopped altogether trying to get the drivers and software installed because they can cause more problems. I just transfer using a card reader.

If you want to use the software that comes with the A400, it's best to install ZoomBrowser, then you will need to follow to this link to get the update to this software.

Once this is done, reboot your machine to make sure the system is then up-to-date.

Make sure you have also updated your machine with Windows Updates. This is done by opening Internet Explorer and clicking on Tools | Windows Updates. Follow the links at their site to update your machine.

My Fujifilm digital camera is connected to my computer, but the removable disk does not appear when I open "My Computer" in Windows. I have a FinePix camera and have installed the software.


If the removable disk does not appear when you open "My Computer" in Windows, it is possible that the USB drivers are not installed correctly. Update to the latest version of FinePix Viewer (including the USB drivers). To update FinePix Viewer, you must have the software from the CD-ROM bundled with the product (Utilities for FinePix) already installed. As an alternative method to updating the software, you can also reinstall the USB drivers. The USB drivers can be reinstalled by installing the software from the CD-ROM again. If the removable disk is still not displayed after the above measures have been taken, check the following: Windows system checks 1.
