That is what it is designed to do. Most dehumidifiers come with a hose connection on the bucket. To use this hose connection there is a knock-out inside the connection where the hose attaches that must be removed. The alternative is to empty the bucket when it gets full. Most Dehumidifiers are set up with a switch that will shut it down when the bucket gets near to full.

If everything is operating and you are not getting water out of it your system could be low on refrigerant charge. If it is low on charge it has a refrigerant leak at some point in the system.

Your bucket full switch may be defective. If you are capable, bypass it since you are draining to another place other than the bucket.

SOURCE: Danby continuous water flow will

Please try the following:
1) Remove the bucket.
2) You will notice a round outlet/spout where the water drips from into the bucket.
3) Remove the plug from the backside of the unit (you will now see a hole to the bucket area).
4) Feed a hose through the hole from the back and attach the end of the hose to the round outlet/spout.
5) Place the other end of the hose on a floor drain outlet.
6) Put the bucket back into the unit.

When the unit is turned on, the water will now flow through the hose instead (into the floor drain). When you want to use the bucket again to capture the water, you will need to remove the hose.

I hope that helps.

Is there a call back on unit lad704tdl dehumidifier

Good Morning Friend,

I understand you are wondering if there is a recall on your Frigidaire dehumidifier, model# LAD704TDL. I see that the bucket is not filling with water when your appliance is running. I don't believe there are any recalls. I suggest contacting the manufacturer for further assistance. They should be able to point you in the right direction. Hope this is helpful.

The bucket fills up but we have to put a towel down because it leaks all over the floor. What could be wrong ?

Good Afternoon Friend,

I understand that the bucket fills with water and overflows on your Frigidaire dehumidifier, model# FAD704DUD. Please make sure your dehumidifier is installed on a level that will support it with a full bucket of water. If the dehumidifier is moving when it fills with water then this could possibly be the cause of the bucket overflowing. I ask that you please follow up with a comment on the post, at your convenience, to advise if further troubleshooting is needed or if your appliances status has changed successfully. Hope this is helpful.

-Best Regards-

Dehumidifier is running but no water is in bucket

If you are making water and it is just going all over the place then, the little spout coming off the bottom of the coil, that runs the water into the bucket is clogged with dirt and you just need to take a small toothpick or knife and work the dirt out of the spout...

Why would you be putting water INTO a Dehumidifier??

The idea of a dehumidifier is to EMPTY the bucket, then the machine takes moisture out of the air, fills the bucket and you empty it again.
