Completely white screen..

Hi,

I've had this camera for about a year and a half & I never really had any problems with it. It was in my purse for a day or so and I was in the mountains where it was quite cold- however the camera hadn't spent that much time in the cold. I took out the camera & turned it on & the screen is completely white no matter what I do. I tried taking pictures, but couldn't see them on the screen. I hooked it up to my computer & and the pictures did come out fine, but it's annoying not being able to see the pictures after taking them or be able to change the settings. I tried changing the batteries, leaving them out for a bit, leaving the card out & I just don't know what else to do.

Any ideas? Anything would be appreciated.

White display screen. the camera takes pictures, but you can not see them while shooting or review them after operating camera.
