My Maytag atlantis MDE7600Ayw takes nearly 3 hours to dry clothes. The back silver metal grill is very hot and it still tumbles, no weird sounds. Any suggestions?

sounds like your vent is clogged or there is lint clogged around the blower wheel. Make sure to check outside where it comes out and be sure all the exaust tubing is free of lint clogs.

My Atlantis Plus MDE7600AYW dryer is only producing cold air, possible solution?

could be a bad sensor that lets the heat come on. There are usually two thermostatic disks that control that check along the air path for them and see if they have continuity. (of course the first time my dryer did this it was because I forgot to turn on the gas. Also check to see if the glow bar is trying to light(it will glo)

No heat from dryer maytag atlantis mde7600ayw had heating element them fuse and thermostat checked ok check ciruit breaker turn on and off decided to replace fuse dyer still didn't heat check outlet...

most dryers have a thermal switch or breaker in the cavity somewhere, they can become worn over time and will stop heating, the item probably looks like a copper arm that touches a contact similar to a old morse code key by looks

Has not heat - it happened suddenly

Thermostat controls heat. There is also a

motor centrifulgal switch, in the element

circuit, that the motor closes to insure

the motor is turning. Try another heat

setting. There is more than one

thermostat. You may have blown the

'thermal fuse' too, whcih requires

replacemant.

Try Repairclinic.com for help and parts. You are going to need heat resistant grease, and probably snap ring pliers.

My atlantis MDE7600ayw is taking two cyles to dry

Your heating element is going out. If your dryer is still under warranty, contact the manufacturer and let them know what's going on. They should send you a replacement part, or should send a technician to fix it.

Maytag Atlantis MDE6200AYW will run, but no heat

Check to make sure that you have the proper voltage running to the dryer first. Next you may have a problem with your heating element or with your thermal fuse. Get your dryer opened up so you can see your heating element. Run the dryer and if you see the heating element come on and then turn right back off again then you have a bad thermal fuse. If it doesn't come on at all though then the heating element is bad. Both parts can be picked up at your local appliance repair shop. Just make sure to unplug the dryer before replacing the part. If you have any other questions let me know and let me know if this was helpful for you. Good luck.
