Take the bobbin and the casement out ...and after that open the ring that surround them and take the half shell (semi-ring ) in which the casement with the bobbin fits..and clean the inside for any thread or anything that might be inside...after that put back that semi-ring ...and close the outer ring with care ...and firmly...be careful cause it only has one position in which will fit proper..inser the casement with the bobin again ..and turn the wheel when doing it ..so that the needle to be in upper position ..and a click sound to be made...Than you know it is in the right position ..
When you get the casement out ..be sure you check the thread tension ...which can be adjusted from the side screw oh the casement ..not to be to tide...
After all it is in place ...check the tension on the upper and bobbin threads to be equal by puling them and try to be almost equal ..on the tension you feel ...After that take some piece of cloth and try it out ..

You sont say how old the machine is or how much use you have put it through. THe first thing that I would do is replace the bobbins and other associated parts that are removable. They are subject to wear and tear especially if you have a lot of use on the machine. The other thing is that this machine is apparently made by Janome and there are good and bad things about it. One of the bad things is that it gets out of timing and can have problems similar to the one that you are having .The thing about the machine is that it is nice but it has not been very high priced and sold for about 225 USD that is not alot for a sewing machine. IF it is under warranty, I would see about getting it worked on. If it is not then you might want to see what the cost would be to have it serviced by Sears.

My thread keeps breaking. bobbin thread seems to be alright, have changed thread, needle.

The needle thread breaks
1. the needle thread is not threaded properly
2. The needle thread tension is to tight
3. The needle is bent or blunt
4. The needle is incorrectly inserted
5. The needle thread & the bobbin thread are not set under the presser foot when starting to sew
6. the threads were not drawn to the rear after sewing

Thread keeps breaking, sounds like something keeps catching in the bobin area that causes the thread to break on top, skipping stiches also

You could possibly have some burs on the bobbin casing. This will cause threads to break. This is a repair that will have to be done by a professional. OR you could have place the bobbin in backwards. If the bobbin is not in correctly it will not have the right tension and the thread will break. And finally, make sure the upper threading is correct. The thread needs to go through all thread guides and the needle needs to be place in the machine with the grooved side facing you.
I hope this helps. If it does, please rate my suggestion!

Bobbin Casing keeps coming out.

This machine has had 2 different updates for the bobbin case, the second also included a new bobbin visor and the metal bracket that holds the bobbin case in proper position. This sis located at about the 5 oclock position looking straight on at the machine. These new pieces must be adjusted and i am sorry the exact position cannot be explained. It must have just the right amount of movement between bobbin case and bracket. The bracket also must be positioned just right.
