It can cost a lot of money sometimes. But if it is really bad take it to a Vacuum Store they will fix it for you then they will tell you how much it is.

Shark does not make replacement parts. Throw it away, it's a true disposable machine. If you want a second opinion, call any vacuum repair shop, they'll tell you the same thing.

Renny starts as soon as the unit is plugged in....leave the hose off and the unit will not start until the hose is connected

This is a problem that needs to be checked at an Aerus Electrolux store. They have the tech manuals to troubleshoot the specific problems with the Renny (Renaissance). There are three possible problems involving the electronics in either the hose handle or the canister.
When the problem was first noted, customers brought their vacuums in and the service managers simply replaced the hoses. That resulted in burning out the boards in either the new hose or the vacuum, increasing the cost of warranty repair/part replacement. Electrolux quickly sent out service updates letting the service personnel know to stop the practice immediately. I can't remember how long it took before we finally got the proper troubleshooting data, but yes, there were a lot of problems with many of the machines. Fortunately for the store I worked at, there weren't many.

Miele vacuum s5980 no power

your main circuit board is also your speed control the motor should not have a circuit board i don't believe. open your machine up all the way to the motor and cord reel. check voltage at cord reel should be 120 +/- 10. if voltage is correct then replace speed control board.

I just need the part number for my Guardian Electrolux model C134A i ran over the Hose and that was the part that broke. i need to compare prices so i can determine if it is cost effictive to change the...

The part number for the hose is 47086.
The best thing to do is contact the nearest Aerus Electrolux dealer.
If it's just the switch or handle that broke, it will be more cost effective to have that replaced. If I remember right, the hose costs close to $200 new. A new switch may cost up to $20, but probably quite a bit less.
The nearest Aerus store can be located using the below link.

I have a dyson dc 07 how on earth do i connect the flexible hose for cleasning the the stairs to the machine

Hi its Darran at Dyson.

I am not clear from your question as to whether you have purchased a replacement hose and need to know how to fit it or you are asking how you use the hose to vacuum?

If you are trying to fit a new hose, with the old one removed, simply line up the large plastic cuff on the base of the hose (this is the one with the cable tidy) and push it downwards into the slot at the base of the main body until it clicks into place. You can then insert the wand handle back in and store it on the machine.

If you would like to know how to to use the wand/hose, simply press the wand catch on the front of the wand handle just above the main carrying handle and pull it upwards. You can then splide the hose to the bottom of the metal pipe and press the button on the hose cuff to release the wand handle. The tools fit directly onto the hose cuff for vacuuming the car, your stairs or upholstery.

I hope that this information is useful to you.

Kind regards
Darran

Part of the hose is torn. Do I have to replace the whole hose or can it be repaired ?

Which hose is torn? The hose underneath or the hose with the extension wand in the handle?

Where I work we can sometimes repair the wand hose, and the little hose undernath is usually a cheap costing replacement.

How do you open a hoover steamvac agility to change the lower hose assembly?

ok. you will need a screwdriver phillips and a pair of ****. this is going to take about an hour. first take off the tanks, nexted on one side of the machine you will see i believe its 8 to 10 screws. (you don't need to take apart the handle) once you take all of them out, there's a plastic plate that the tanks sit on. take this off. (4 screws) got that done, seperate the two pieces.(the handle will come out so you have more space, it will be a tight fix) the haves are apart and you will see the hoses there. take out the big long hose(2 screws hold it on at the top) and at the bottom of this is the short hose that you need to replace. using your **** cut the plastic on either side of the notches on both sides. put the new hose on. then reverse your steps for putting back together. hope this helps out

High pitched screeching/broken handle release

For the handle problem, detent lever part #2030052 and costs $4 to $5. A bearing in the motor is what is making it sound bad, part #2032211 and will cost around $60. You could try bissell.com or call them. They can at least let you know who has Bissell parts near you.
