2 Answers

Have recently moved unit, and misplaced manual. red light that looks like an ac near power button is on, and machine isnt working. plugged and unplugged several times etc. seems to me that we either added water to tray when new or emptied water after it ran. Help, it just turned about 100 here in California and need it. thanks

You probably emptied it.It appears to be a ground unit?First, the tray may need to be in a certain position to enable it by tripping a switch when you push it in so the a/cknows it's there to catch water.Just try pushing it in all the way and wiggling it around, you may hear a click when it hits the switch.Sincethere is a red light on,it has power so it's not the outlet. If the tray trick doesn't work, remove the tray and see if you can find something just hanging down towards the back or something sticking out of the back inside I mean for both. That should be the switch. If you press it and the a/c comes on but doesn't with the tray in,you could just tape it up for now and keep an eye on the water tray constantly until it can be fixed.I hope that's all it is.
If that doesn't work,it will have to be repaired.Looking forward to hearing good news back from you :) Good luck! Greg

After I shut down my computer something occurred to me.I have only seen a couple of the floor units. The water tray slot probably isn't big enough for you to reach in and tape the switch if you had to so I guess that's out...sorry :( Greg

Two of my smoke alarms went off (no fire/smoke in or near house), one has a green light blinking and one has a solid green light, which need a new battery/reset?

The constant green LED means the alarm has AC power.
A flashing green light every 2 seconds without an audible alert means the unit recently sounded ( was the one activated ) and is now in latching mode to let you know that it was the unit that detected the problem. To clear the latching mode hold down the test button for 5 seconds.
Red LED flashing once per minute means that the back-up battery is connected and functioning.
Red light flashing constantly during alarm means that it is the unit that initiated the alarm siren.

Why isnt my tv sound comming out of soundbar

What did you plug into on television. Make sure it is Audio Out could be wrongly connected to component out or Audio in. Have you plugged in and turned on the AC power pack as this could be another possible cause of problems as the sound bar requires power. You may have a faulty AC power pack or power point.
I looked it up on Ilive's web site
32 Bluetooth Sound BarITB183B Press the power button first before selecting Source.Use the Source button on the control unit to switch between optical , aux inputs, line in. If you plugged it into the AUX in on the back you need to select Aux inputs (indicated by a white light) on the speaker. Do you have the user manual if not it is at http://www.iliveelectronics.com/fileuploader/download/download/?d=0&file=custom/upload/File-1380574738.pdf

Hope this helps as I do not have one myself

Wii won't turn on.

Reset the AC adapter by following steps below.

1. Unplug the Wii AC adapter at both ends (from the back of the
Wii system and from the wall outlet or power strip).

2. After you've waited a full 2 minutes, plug the AC adapter back in on both ends and check to see if the power light comes on.

I got a compaq c36 it was working fine but now it wont switch on or anything do you now what it could be

1. Plug the laptop into AC power.

2. Take out the battery.

3. Try a different outlet.

4. Look for the light that indicates that the AC adapter is plugged in. If that light isn't on, try plugging and unplugging the AC power jack and moving it around until the light shows its connected. If no light comes on, its possible you have a bad DC jack or the AC adapter needs to be replaced.

5. If the indicator light is on and the laptop won't power on, then it's possible you have a bad switch board or stuck button. Make sure no buttons are stuck. Conversely, push hard on the power button and move it around in order to make sure you're making good contact.

6. If you know the battery has a charge, unplug the AC adapter and connect the battery. If it turns on, then you can be sure you have a bad DC jack or a bad AC adapter.

Wii console isnt working

Have you tired resetting the AC adapter? If not, then try this:

  1. Unplug/remove all accessories from the system (including game discs, SD Cards, memory cards, Nintendo GameCube controllers, hookup cables, the AC Adapter, and Sensor Bar) from the outlet and Wii.
  2. Let the system rest for about 90 seconds. While you're waiting, check to see that controller cords, AC Adapter, and Stereo AV cables/Component Video cables are not frayed or have exposed wires (this can cause the system to shut off); if so, you should replace those parts.
  3. After the 90 seconds, Plug the AC Adapter into the system and directly into a wall outlet, not a surge protector or power strip. Check to see if the power light on the Power button comes on.

Cannot clear red status light on Compaq rack mount UPS

According to the manual I have, that is a site wiring fault. It means that there is no ground on your AC line coming into the unit.
If you e-mail me, I will send you the pdf of the manual.

Laptop will not turn on.

plug it into the wall , most newer laptops will have a power boost while plugged into AC.
check your power cable receptical on the back of the laptop, these are notorious for getting loose.
check the cable on the ac adaptor, these are bad for getting breaks that you cant see in them (run your hand down the cable physically and fell for any breaks while unplugged, then do it again plugged in and watch for lights to flicker on the computer.
look for the power light on the laptop to come on when you plug the adaptor in. if you get a light on the adaptor and on the computer, then the adaptor isnt the issue.
the next step is checking the power button and power supply.. post what your results are here and we'll move to the next step if not resolved.
Regards!
