Question about LG LD65EL Dehumidifier
The unit shows room humidity correctly, but the set button wont work and the
display shows a dash and a short vertical line. Unit goes on and off currently.
The unit is about Two years old.
You will need to contact LG for service or a replacement. This unit is covered by a 5 year warranty. Here is the contact number for LG:

Will my dehumidifier work in a cold room ?
A dehumidifier will not operate satisfactory in a room that is
below 65 degrees F. At this temperature it will become necessary to operate the
dehumidifying coil below freezing temperatures in order to reduce the relative humidity to
a reasonable valve. Frost on coils usually will appear.
I would imaging that the humidity is already lower than the dehumidifier could get it down to. that's why it reads "Lo" on the display.
