My mom blocked my facebook how do i unblock it (if there is a way for good)

We cannot give out that info for go arounds....try to talk to your mom and work out a deal to let you have it with her terms. Parents know best. We have same issues at our home but we made a deal to not give out info like phone numbers....addresses...stuff like that and the teens have a face book. Try to talk to her and see what happens.

A colleague of mine is using 'HTML Box'. I'm not exactly sure what it does with it. What is it used for?

HTML Box is an app that lets you add pretty much anything to your Facebook profile. You still can't get around the no autoplay rule that Facebook has imposed on developers, but with HTML Box you could add almost any photo, video, text, or flash animation/application you can think of. In a way, HTML Box lets anyone have their own custom Facebook app running on their profile (i.e., this is perfect for advertising your website or business via your profile!).

On Sunday, 3/7, I was not even on Facebook and a link was sent to 56 people for a diet and on Monday, 3/8, the same link was sent out to 36 people.?????? How is this happeneing?

Your facebook account has a hacker script in it. usually it is put in by whoever edits it and sets it up un-knowingly.

Alot of "**** my profile" type sites that give you cool backgrounds, or other add-ons include scripts in the code that send emails to all your contacts without you knowning it, until someone tells you about it. They are meant to advertise random sites (Usually sites that paid for advertising from a company that promises massive amounts of traffic to there sites)

The best thing to do is clear any and all add-ons, and backgrounds, pictures/images you picked up from other sites or facebook users, and tell your friends not to open those emails as well. Then run a virus scan on your computer, Malwarebytes Virus Scanner seems to be the best out there for free, easily rivals the top VS programs that actually work that cost $300+ a month.

You can get Malwarebytes free here: http://download.cnet.com/Malwarebytes-Anti-Malware/3000-8022_4-10804572.html

Then contact the Facebook Customer Service and tell them about it, They can run a scan on your profile and make sure there is no scripts on it, as well as remove anything they do find.

also, don\'t forget to change your passwords ASAP, including any passwords to any sites you have personal information on, such as ebay, paypal, your online bank, etc... Its good to change your passwords often on anything that has information pertaining to your finances, or about you.

Goodluck with your profile.

Xbox live problems

Are there any other Xbox live accounts on your xbox? And you're sure there's no parental controls on that account?
  • I think maybe your Windows Live id that is used when you sign in might be automatically knowing your age? if you're under 18, I think it blocks mature ratings automatically.
You could do a couple google searches, but I'm pretty sure it wont let you download Above Teen rated content if you're underage, UNLESS, the parent email can be used to sign in and change the rating limitations.(I think the parent email was used when initially setting up the xblive account on the xbox.

Did you set up the account, or did your parents?

I don't think this may have helped you at all, but I had to try, and give some input. As I was in this predicament once also, What I did was had to sign in to xbl, and goto manage account, and somewhere in those settings I found the restrictions on ratings. But I belive it asks for a parent to sign in or something. (but i used my 2ndary e-mail when it told me to enter parent e-mail, so I guess that's a little different.
