Lgray1010,

Try using the Flash Focus to/or manually try to dial in the convergence. If you are unable to focus the TV using its convergence adjustment it's time to call the TV repair guy. Figure on between $250.00 and $400.00 USD.

How do i fix blur lines at the top of the screen?

Hi, Since you did not provide a model# for your TV I will guess the picture looks like a 3D shape. If the Red, Green and Blue colors are separated from each other then, the convergence circuit is the problem. The repair may cost between $185 to over $200.

Good luck

I would like to know ow yo fine tune my Yellow and Green colors on my Mitsubishi HD 1080 Series

If this is an auto convergence you may be in for a bit more of a project than you want to be into. If there are separate color guns then you can adjust them individually with a screwdriver from inside

There isn't a picture. I have tried to plug in the wire three separate colored plugs. The problem is I have a port for the white and red wires. I do not have a yellow port. I have tried to plug that...

Hello

White and Red ports are for Left/Right Audio. Yellow is for video. On the TV usually it would be a range of colors from Yellow-Green. Try looking for another port just for the video.

Good luck and please rate my answer.

On a white picture my screen has a yellow color to it and at times mill have a blue blur on the bottom left corner of the screen. also i get blue dots in the middle on the screen.

Hello: Seems like you have a picture tube problem. The yellow color is from a weak green crt. I suggest replacing the Red and Green Crt's in this model. They are nortoriuos for Failure especially the Red. The cost for these tube vary from 110.00ea to 150.00each. I don't know if you want to spend that type of money on this set, as i Know this peticular set has an expectional picture quailty, my experience with replacing sony picture tubes, is to replace all three tubes, as the new ones will show brighter. So replacing the red and green crt's and not the blue is not recommened. But thats up to you, you might not notice the color difference yourself. You also have the option of sending the Crt's for refurbished ones or having the originals rebuilt by a company in Calif, called VDC, Video display Corp. They sell and refurbish sony CRTs. This route is much cheaper, the only problem is having the crt's taken out and sent for repair. The other option is to think about purchasing a new set. As this repair price could reach into hundreds of dollars, Around $600 to $700 for parts and Labor..

Pictures coming out green

On a picture that you have printed, when you see an area of green, what color should it be? You probably have reduced flow of one of the "balancing" colors. Blue, Yellow and Red add up to Black. If your picture is supposed to be almost black and you don't have enough red, the color will pull toward the blue and yellow, giving it a green tint.

Picture turns to red & green and becomes blurred.

This is likely solder connections cracking on your convergence ICs. If you can bump the tv and it goes back to normal, it just needs resoldering, but if it doesn't, then it needs the ICs replaced. If the convergence is out, you will see a bowed picture and the red, green, and blue will be separated. Worth repairing if you can find a company to do it affordably, I can help you repair yourself if you have disassembly and soldering skills.

Picture Problems on HCL4715W

Most likely the convergence ic'd failed. Do not adjust the convergence until the ic's have been replaced. Most likely the ic's are all that failed but all resistors around the ic's should be checked to make sure none of them burned open. It is reccommended to replace both ic's. This is not a difficult repair if you are compentent at component removal and soldering, but a qualified service professional is reccommended.
