All you need to buy for a sewing machine desk is two 2-drawer file cabinets and a piece of plywood. Just make sure the plywood isn't flimsy and get a piece the width of both cabinets plus an extra 2-3 ft. Lay it on top of the file cabinets and put the cabinets under each end of the plywood leaving the extra 2-3 ft area open in the middle for your chair. You can purchase the cabinets at any Goodwill. They seem to always have a supply of them. You might even find an inexpensive sewing table there! Good luck.

How to install my sewing machine into its case

There are pins on the side of the desk. Stand them up.

The sewing machine has small holes on the side. Place the machine on it's side and align the pins with the holes.

Once this has been done there are small screws that go through the holes of the sewing machine. These are tightened to prevent the pins from coming out.

I have a Janome 802 swing machibe.I want to uninstall it for detail check and better service and then install it. I'm looking for a prorper service manual

Loosen the top cover the add a couple drops oil at each joint. Do the same for the rest of the machine. Remove the bobbin case and permit the sewing machine to run freely. It may take 10-15 minutes before it begins to loosen.

Twin needle

Hello

Install the second spool pin.
Place the two spools on the spools pins, one on each spool pin.Make sure that the spools are spinning toward each other.
Thread as for single needle.
Thread each needle from a different spool.
Caution: Make sure that the stitch width is not wide than the twin needle maximum swing. Check that the needles will not hit the throat plate as they swing from left to right and back again on stitches with width.

Happy twin needling

If the swinging sound is from the motor, right side just below your hand wheel, possibility your motor belting is loose or broken. If you don't have mechanical skill / experience, suggest to get your local technician to fix it.

Hello,
The problem is the swing stitch (ZigZag) arm actuator bar has either popped out of the servo motor that operates the swing arm. Or the connector is broken or servo motor is dead. When you turn on the machine the needle bar is suppose to do a little dance (couple of twitches back and forth) and the machine is ready to go. Yours grinds (not dancing) because of the swing arm bar is popped out of it's holder. Good news is ... it is probably not broken and just needs to be put back in place though it is worn and thus the reason it popped out. That swing arm bar is easily accessed just under the plastic tray in the top of the machine where the thread holder sits. Bad news is ... That thread holder tray is a PITA to get off with out cracking anything (lots of patience). There are just two small philips screws securing it **BUT** the carry handle , the top flip cover and the right end light cover all have to come out to remove the PITA tray . More Good News though ...you may be able to repair with out removing the tray by ... First (with machine OFF) try to just push the needle bar side to side a bit (like you are trying to make it ZigZag manually ) and listen for a click. Then turn the machine on (Power button ON) and watch for the needle bar dance ? (you just fixed it). Note, It does takes a bit of effort to move the needle bar side to side but don't force it hard. Re: Elna 1010 sewing machine opening the upper left door

It is a cover, not a door, which is why it will not swing open. To remove it,there is a small round plastic screwhole cover which must be removed with a small, thin screwdriver or a fingernail. Once it is out ,you may remove the screw which is holding it on.
