the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

SOURCE: Printer Password

If you reset the network card on the 8008 back to factory defaults it will reset the web password back to 'sysadm'
To reset factory defaults power the pritner on holding down CLEAR, keep CLEAR held down whilst you power the printer ON, keep the clear button held down untill you see RESETT on the display.

Resetting factory defaults will reset all network settings EXCEPT - IP, Sub net and Gateway address

Yes, you have to install a fuse in each drum unit, it's a littelfuse # 251-062. You can use google to find the procedure.

SOURCE: How to add memory to the Okidata C6150

[1] Open the top cover. [2] Open the front door. To do this, look directly under the digital display and located a latch. Pull the latch up and the front door will open toward you. [3] On the right-side panel of the printer, locate a big screw in the middle of the top and loosen it. Now, the side panel comes off easily. [4] Once the side panel is off the printer, you will see a big vertical opening where one (1) RAM module can be inserted. [5] Note also that, to the left of the big opening, the word HDD is stamped onto the metal. That's where a 2.5-inch hard drive can be installed. There are two screw holes diagonally where a hard drive should be installed.

How to reset pass word for window xp

A lot of times Windows XP installations do you have a password set for the administrator account. When you first boot up the machine, instead of trying your username and password, try using the username "Administrator" with a blank password. If that works you can go to the control panel and reset the password for your user account.
Otherwise you can try using the offline NT registry editor. A great video showing its use can be found here. You can also use OPHCrack found here. Both of this have a slight risk for data loss so proceed with caution if you choose to that route. If you have any further questions about the process, let me know.

Hi we have a okidata b930n whit the " panel locked " error we can't use the panel control. thanks

Panel locked message is set to prevent changes in the unit. Your IT person probably locked it. You may need a password to remove the lock. Neither manual gives a reset method.

See page 147 in the reference manual:

If I could be of further assistance, let me know. If this helps or solves the issue, please rate it.

Mac-Compatible Impact Printer???

Okidata works pretty good for 4 part forms. I've worked on dot matrix printers in the past and found that a lot of them jam with that big of a form and eventually burn the motor out a lot faster. Not a problem to handle on an Okidata.

I have yet to find a USB interface for one so that might be a challenge. Apple used to use a round serial interface. You might be able to find a workaround for that using a USB hub. I have a Belkin one at home that carries an Apple serial interface.

Another idea that could work is to use a parallel based print server with a eternet port on it. Then you can run it on a TCP/IP. The only time you need to use a browser is for administration setup on the print server by typing in the TCP/IP address into the browser.

Safari can work in place of Firefox. Make sure the printer server has Mac drivers for it.
