I can not get the media manager for it to bring up music. Also, should I download a WMA for it to convert. Mine says on the packaging to download the Coby Media Manager but it came with no software. Not...

Coby Media Manager is embedded on the MP3 player. When the MP3 player is connected to your PC, that is all it will say is 'USB Connected'. To access the coby media manager, go to Start > Computer > It will be a 'Removable Disk' drive, double click it, inside of there will be a coby-mediamanager.exe file, this is the software, double click it to install it. It will put an ICON on your desktop, this software is what you use to sync music, photo or video to your MP3 player. If you need the Coby Media Manager - you can downlod from here: http://www.cobyusa.com/files/software/MP707_Media_Manager.zip

Ok, my model of the Mp3 came with a disk, i know what the disk is used for ( to allow the electronical device charge) but when i went to upload the disk my fire wall came up and said "warning malware...

Hi, it wont be a problem its just giving you that warning as the device is not on any list to say its safe, so your computer gives you a warning as its something it has never heard of, you will have no problems using it it happens quite a lot when you buy devices that are not from well known makers.
so just run the disk and click ignore the warning and it will then load as normal and it will then let you access all the info on the mp3 player.

have you tried connecting the mp3 player without the disk installed just to see if you can access the files without having the disk installed. your computer may pick it up and let you put music on without the disk, it might be a bit harder and take a few goes to get right or just use the disk and do it the way it says in the manual

using the disk will not harm your computer or your files, if it was something you was downloading or a disk someone had copied for you then i would say dont use it but as its the original disk you will have no problems and you can then use your mp3 player

hope that has stopped your concerns

When I put the install disk in the disk drive the install menu don't open what should I do

Go to the start menu.
Click on My computer.
Find the disk drive and double click.
If it opens a window showing the files, find the application, otherwise it should run the main setup.exe

Why my computer cant recognize my creative zen v plus 2gb mp3player? i dont know the problem cause my player is working properly, i want to put songs on it, please can you help me?

Have You Downloaded The Software To Run It Off The Disk It Came With? If Not Unplug The Mp3 Player From Your Computer And Then Install The Software. Once Installed Plug The Mp3 Player Back In And It Should Pop Right Up. In Some Cases You May Need To Restart Your Computer. Also If You Don't Have The Disk Or Have Misplaced It You Can Download It Here.
Thanks For Choosing Fixya
Sincerely,
Michael Scott

How to put music on it

What kind of mp3 player do you have. Normally any kind of mp3 player will come with a standard compact disk that you need to use to install the program for your mp3 player. If you have installed this program, you should be able to start putting music on your mp3 according to the directions that are given. Hope this helps.

E260 installation problem

Actually, the disk that comes with the sansa e260 is really only for putting videos on it. The player will add any music put on regularly. The disk is a software that converts certain file types into others so the player can play them. Music is mostly .mp3 files if you get them from cds( in my experience) so you should hve no problem. This person knows what they're talking about. There's also the Sandisk website for troubleshooting.

My installation disk won't run

i have windows xp and was told that i didn't need the disc for it. it's the cord/cable not communitcating with the mp3 player that's my problem. they told me to try different usb ports on the back of the computer, and it still didn't work. so she said to try it on another computer, but that's a bit redundant, i want it to work on mine.
