My ge xl44 gas range ..all of a sudden the oven does not work...eveything else does... do i need someone to come out? HELP...

Probably just a weak ignitor. Fairly common on these. If you can change a spark lug you can change an ignitor.. These get weak and dim. if yours comes on but is dim orange it is weak and not allowing the bi-metal to open. If yall bump the stove and the oven comes on that is another sign of a worn out ignitor:

How it works: Silicone carbide ignition

Oven will not light/no trbl code/top burners work fine

First look to see if the ignitor is coming on. Most common problem is the ignitor is weak or just bad. When the power is applied to the ignitor it glows and builds up resistance to open the gas valve then it lights. If the ignitor is weak or bad it will not build up enough resistance for gas to come into the burner. One sign of this would be a "woosh" sound when it trys to light. If the ignitor is coming on but not lighting it is most likely the ignitor is bad. Should have a full glow. Also, if the ignitor looks whiteish in color this is a sign of it going bad. You can compare to the broil ignitor to be sure. Let me know what you find and let's solve it before you rate the solution.

Hello. I have an old Roper oven, model no.

The ignitor draws amperage thru gas valve which opens the bimetal valve to release the gas.Round ignitor 2.75 amps. Rect. 3.5 amps.Bottom line if burner dont fire within 60 seconds of turning orange you have a weak/bad ignitor.Hope this helps. Please rate my response :)

Oven wont light but I left it on my mistake and 2 weeks later it lit on its own. it has electronic iginition

Hi, It sounds like the ignitor is going bad. Even tho they glow, they get weak and will not open the gas valve. I would change the ignitor. Remove the floor panel in the oven and you can see the ignitor.
I hope this helps you. Please let me know if I can assis tyou futher.
