Where did you purchase your software from?

The most likely place it would be is on your product packaging.

To obtain a new product key for your Office program in the United States, call 1-800-936-5700 and speak to a Microsoft customer service representative. Outside of the United States, call the number that appears in the activation wizard.

When you call Microsoft for a new Office product key, have the following items available for the customer service representative:

  • The product CD-ROM
  • The computer on which you want to install Office
  • The readable parts of your original product key (if available)
  • The ProductID information in the registry

  • If you purchased the software at the same time you bought your PC, then check with the manufacturer for the product code.

If you're using a "borrowed" copy of PowerPoint, you'll need to purchase a license.

I download MS Office 2007 from Internet, However I don't have Product Key for this Product X12-30196. So I am getting error.

You can only use it as a trial version. It'll work until 60 days or a maximum of 120 usages, what ever comes first. You need to purchase a product key from Microsoft. Alternatively, you can try to download a free alternative called Open Office:

    Here is the site: http://download.openoffice.org/
It does not look as good as Microsoft Office but it serves the purpose. The best thing about this software aside from being free is that it supports files created from Microsoft Office like word, excel and powerpoint.
You just need to get used to a different naming convention.

How to recover corrupted PowerPoint file using TEMP folder?

Today tip will help you to recover the unreadable and corrupted file of Microsoft PowerPoint. Normally PowerPoint open files can become corrupted when you are trying to save it or if you were working on it and your PowerPoint application or windows crashed due to power failure. Windows saves a duplicate copy of working file as a temporary version. There is no need to use any third party software to manage these types of corrupted files, because you can recover them from TEMP folder.
Follow the given steps to recover the corrupted files in MS PowerPoint:
    google_protectAndRun("ads_core.google_render_ad", google_handleError, google_render_ad);
First click on Start button then click on Search option to start your search process.

Here type the *.TMP in "All or part of the file name" box then choose the "Local Hard Drives" option in "Look in" box.

Now click on Search button to start the search process of temporary files on your system local drives.
After some time, windows locate the list to temporary files. Here arrange the all temp files as Date modified.

Now open the PowerPoint and try to open these temp files or double click on that file to run in PowerPoint

Im trying to write a letter on microsoft office but somthing poping up saying that i need to have a, organization and a product key but i have no idea what they are?

You probably have a new PC which came with 90 day trail version of MS Office.
Instead of paying money to Microsoft, download OpenOffice. It is a free open source Office suite that works just like MS Office, it even opens word documents, Powerpoint and Excel files.
    Get it here :

    http://www.openoffice.org/

copy and paste the complete link into your browser.
If I could be of further assistance, let me know. If this helps or solves the issue, please rate it.
    Thanks, Joe

I am trying to log onto microsoft powerpoint and it will not accept the product key found on licence under laptop. Please could you tell me if I am using the correct product key or if i need another one....

The key under the laptop is most likely for the operating system. If you have a Microsoft Office get the CD key from that. Powerpoint is part of Microsoft Office.
