Where did you purchase your software from?

The most likely place it would be is on your product packaging.

To obtain a new product key for your Office program in the United States, call 1-800-936-5700 and speak to a Microsoft customer service representative. Outside of the United States, call the number that appears in the activation wizard.

When you call Microsoft for a new Office product key, have the following items available for the customer service representative:

  • The product CD-ROM
  • The computer on which you want to install Office
  • The readable parts of your original product key (if available)
  • The ProductID information in the registry

  • If you purchased the software at the same time you bought your PC, then check with the manufacturer for the product code.

If you're using a "borrowed" copy of PowerPoint, you'll need to purchase a license.

Hi Guys, How can I download a 'free' version of Microsoft powerpoint 2007 for XP pro, onto my laptop, which is running windows 8/8.1...? all answers very appreciated.. Thanks in advance..

I 100% agree with you. I am still using Office 2007 because I do not see much interest in 2010 or 2013. I am waiting to see what comes next but I am not convinced I will upgrade any time soon.

As for Free PowerPoint 2007, that is a TOUGH one as MS wants to sell EVERYTHING, including technical support.

I know you can get PP 2007 viewer for free, but as for the actual program, it still requires an activation code.

I found a site that "claims" free PowerPoint 2007 but I am not convinced it's the full download and free. If it's like a lot of MS download links, it will automatically try to download the newest version 2013 which is evaluation unless you pay for the product key...but you can try it out and see what happens if you want to take the chance.

On my 2007 Microsoft Office powerpoint program its saying I need a product key. how do i find this?

Normally this product key is on a sticker attached to the inside of your CD case or located with the manual that came with Office 2007. If you downloaded Microsoft Office 2007, your CD key was probably in an email from Microsoft.

If you've lost your product key, don't worry. It's located in the registry but it's encrypted, making finding it difficult without some help.If you need help with that let me know.

I purchased microsoft office version 2003 after downloading a trial version. the purchased copy unlocked word, outlook, publisher and excel but not powerpoint, which is what I really need for a homework...

Powerpoint is not in the 'basic' version of Microsoft Office 2003. All other versions should include Powerpoint.

If you really need it now and you can't solve it, you may download OpenOffice at . This contains the program 'Impress', with which you can make Powerpoint presentations. OpenOffice is free, because it's Open Source software.

Ok I cant seem to find the product key on the laptop or online

    Hello Kris -

The product key you're looking at on the bottom of the computer is most likely for Windows itself, not PowerPoint. Some new computers come with only trial versions of Microsoft Office (of which PowerPoint is part of). First, ensure that you have in fact paid for Microsoft Office. If so, your computer will have come with a seperate set of CDs for Microsoft Office (or just PowerPoint if you did not purchase the complete office suite). There will be a product key on the back of the CD set which should work just fine.

Please let me know if you need further info!

Product code key vista, why does it have to be used, to be found.

It probably wants the product code for Microsoft Office in order to run the PowerPoint application. If you have the Trial version of Microsoft Office you will have to purchase a Product Code or you can download the PowerPoint Viewer to view them.
