I have a Necchi model 537FA. When u step on petal, it won't move. Does this machine have 2 BELTS? I only see one. I have oiled before running.

If you don't have any movement or hear the machine attempting to sew, you may have a burnt out pedal.
You should hear a slight hum when pressing on the pedal. If you don't hear a hum, the pedal is probably dead.
These can usually be ordered from the merchant who sold you the machine.

My sewing machine has power, but is not turning the gears. What is the problem, and should I bring it into sears for repair

If you can turn the hand crank and the needle moves up and down, then the gears are probably alright.

It could just be the floor pedal is oxidized and not making good contact so isn't allowing electricity to get to the motor. If you know anything about electricity, you can bypass the floor control pedal and just briefly put the full power to the motor and see if it runs full speed, then you know it is just the speed control floor pedal.

For first clue is the "motor revs" your motor belt is either too loose, too worn or broken.

I have a necchi model number 537fa. the light comes on but the pedal and motor isnt running. you can manuely move the needle up and down, but the machine isnt running. could it be a belt?

If it is a belt problem, you should be able to hear the motor running. If you cant hear the motor running then it has to be the foot control or cord or possibly the motor.
