Question about Microwave Ovens
The cord from the electric top is usually at the rear and might go down to the rear bottom possible right rear bottom. Now PLEASE TAKE CARE IF THERE IS NO OTHER MAINS TO SWITCH OFF BEFORE YOU TRACE THIS LINE, IF THERE IS ANY POSSIBILITY OF A LEAK.
However if there is not plug fitting seen as in some cases the wires might be connected into the side socket with a connector, if so you will need to disconnect this connector to pull out the line.
Incidently the oven has to be moved to get access to this point .Since you are doing up the kitchen I would advice that you take the oven out as well and do a good cleaning before the new top is set back.
When settting back take care to fix back according to the wire connection colours you have noted before it was removed - if connectors were used.
Test the line before the new top is set.

Hi, with stoves etc, because they can draw a huge amount of current, are usually WIRED in directly to the Mains. The have a wire going straight back the the Fuse Board to a breaker or fuse assembly. As the Plug that would have to be used would need to be an Industrial one... usually they are called a Rayroll plug and socket, however I doubt that the installer would have used one, and if they did it would be obvious as they are Very large and usually orange or Blue.
You will most likely need to open up the back, and disconnect the wires directly. Of course Turn the Breaker OFF, or remove the Fuse FIRST.
Sometimes they are wired into a Connection Box on the Wall. If so then that;s the place we disconnect from.
BE CAREFUL please.
