Question about Refrigerators

1 Answer

Once my refrigerator reaches the correct temp it cuts off but will not come back on unless I bump it. Lights continue to work so could it be the thermostat?

The temp reads 65f. when I change it to 0-33 it goes back to 65f

Thank you for your post, janet!

I understand that your Frigidaire refrigerator is not displaying the correct temperature. Is it cooling? If it is cooling it could be an issue with your control panel or thermostat not registering the appropriate temperature within your refrigerator. I would suggest performing a reset on your refrigerator and you can do that by disconnecting power from it for ten minutes. If you continue to experience a display problem or that refrigerator is not cooling I would recommend reaching out to a professional for proper diagnosis and repair. This will help you to avoid purchasing unnecessary parts. I hope this is helpful. -Matt

Shark iron g1462

the lights you witness are correct. once the iron has reached tempreture.

ensure the iron is stored in an upright position between ironing items if left laying down the iron may switch off as an anti-burn or fire safety feature as if left unattended. with the iron placed on its back plate with its point facing upwards the iron should stay on.

I hope this was useful.

Placing a refrigerator in the garage

IF YOUR GARAGE TEMP GOES BELOW 35 THE REF MAY NOT WORK WELL BECAUSE MOST REF HAVE THE THERMOSTAT AS THE REF CONTROL. THE TEMP IN THE BOX IS SENSED AT THAT POINT AND SHUTS OFF, THE REF SEEM TO WORK BUT THE FREEZER WILL WARM UP.
IF YOU WANT TO USE A REF IN THE GARAGE, FIND ONE THAT HAS THE THERMOSTAT CONTROL AS THE FREZER CONTROL. LOOK AT THE CONTROLS, THE ONE THAT HAS AN OFF POSITION IS THE CONTROL THAT IS THE THERMOSTAT. SO, THE FREZER CONTROL SHOULD SAY "OFF" SOME NEWER REF WITH FULL ELECTROINIC CONTROLS MAY WORK AS THEY HAVE INDIVIDUAL SENSORS FOR BOTH THE REF AND FREEZER SECTIONS.

Motor never turns itself off

If by motor you mean the compressor itself then no, it should not run all the time. The compressor should run until the thermostat senses the temp. is at where you set it then turns off the compressor. A couple of possible things... if the unit has a leak in the refrigerant then it may run almost continuously since it can barely reach the cold setting you have selected. Or the temp. sensor thermostat may be bad and the unit doesn't know to turn off. There is also a defrost cycle that happens about every 12 hours for a few minutes (depending on make/model on how it works) but that should also turn off the compressor and fans until the defrost cycle is completed. Basically it should turn off when the temp. setpoint is reached or when it's in the defrost cycle.
