There are few reasons with this issue, it could be from the Service or it could be from the Text Message Settings. First remove the sim card and try it on another handset to verify it's working perfectly with messaging services. After it's cleared that there's no problem with the Sim Card messaging service, then check the message settings, i.e. Message Center. This time you need to copy/refer to a message center number from another phone with the same network (if you don't have another with you or with your family, ask a friend and open the message settings the, text message settings and enter the same number which you see on his/her phone's message center number settings). After you've made the changes, save the settings and try sending the text message again. Please note that the message center needs to start with the country code for example, if you are in australia, you have to enter 61 before the ten digits number.
If in case the same problem persists even on another handset, then you need to call the Customer care of your service provider (Network operator) to verify that there's nothing wrong with your messaging service.
If you need further help, let me know.
Good luck.

HI. This is really an issue with the the phone number format or the actual recipients phone service. You must be sure that the recipients phone number is correctly inserted into your device as displayed below:
XXX-XXX-XXXX Example: 742-887-8854 (Area code-prefix-suffix)
The area code must be inserted along with the actual number you are sending the message to. if not, the device and service will not be able to send the message to the target device, properly. The format of the entered phone number must be entered correctly as displayed above.
Now; if your format is correct, this will be an issue with that
particular recipients phone service provider or some sort of network
congestion. In this case, continue to send the message until it is
accepted when the network congestion starts to level out or subside.
Make sure you have not blocked that particular recipients phone number
for any reason in the past and forgot to unblock it and pay attention to your phone signal bars. If the bars a lower than tow bars, you wont be able to send messages until your phone strength returns to four bars or above.
If none of these suggestions prove to be a positive reflection on the issue, you will then need to contact your nearest service provider for a repair ticket and hardware flash procedure.
OK, the correct format for that number you posted will be 04-2497-5454 if calling within the Australian borders. Where are you actually calling from?
If you are calling from outside Australia, let me know so that i can give you the correct format. The formats for every country are different. Please let me know where you are calling form so that i may give you a proper format for you location.
Calling from Australia to Australian mobile phone numbers, I have all numbers stored as 0424975454 without spaces or hiphens
Calling from Australia to Australian mobile phone numbers, I have all numbers stored as 0424975454 without spaces or hiphens
I am calling from Australia to another Australian mobille phone, nothing I seem to do works, are there any other options I have to resolving the issue?
The number must be inserted with hyphens as stated here. 0-4-2497-5454
If that doesn't work, power down the unit and remove the battery for 5 minutes. This will reset the program. once the 5 minutes are up, reinsert the battery and power up. Try it again and see if your can send the message. If it doesn't work, you will need to take the unit to the nearest repair station for a software update or service check. Also, make sure that the recipients device is operational and is expecting your message. if the recipients phone is off or the service is disconnected, the message will fail.
Make sure that the recipient has not blocked your number. If this is the case, your message will fail also.
Thanks for your help, I waited 10 minutes and reinserted the battery but to no success, I will have to take it into a repairer. Just so strange I can make/recieve calls and recieve txts but not send any texts. Thanks again
