Question about Sharp Televison & Video

When a video cassette is inserted, the vcr rejects it. It does not matter if the cassette is new used, store bought movie, or old home movie.

Take the top cover off and see what happens to a cassette. If it doesn't sit it down on the hubs, then suspect some form of damage to the cage. This might well be visiable. If it does sit it down, but doesn't load up suspect the mode switch. Try cleaning it with Servisol Video 40 first. If that doesn't help you might need to replace it, in which case you will need the service manual as you'll never set it up right without it.
I'll post some images of mode switches so you know what to look for.

Trying to copy vcr tapes onto a dvd and it will not let me...says protected? how?

If the tapes are commercial type movies being bought at a store some time ago, the system will detect it as copy right protected and will not let you make a copy. I've had the problem in the past many times, but if the tape is a home made movie taken with a video camera, it should let you copy it. Some video to pc software does this even with homemade video movies, very frustrating and annoying some times.

I can't get the cassette out of my VCR devise in my Samsung VM6105, can't get it to reject the tape

if it is visible, then it is retrievable. use a pair of needle nose pliers and firmly grip cassette and very slowly and carefully try to pull it out. first try straight out, then a little more pressure to one side, then the other side, then pull from the bottom, and then from the top. you should eventually find some "play", at which time you can pull it out. it is possible that you will lose some of the tape when you retrieve it.

it may be the cassette that is faulty, or the player may be faulty. test by inserting another cassette, the least treasured one, in case the player will try to eat that one, too.

Mitsubishi VCR Model HS-821V Ejects Video Cassette & gives an error code E4

Sometimes things like that are caused by the mode switch which will either need to be cleaned or replaced. It's worth looking inside for damage inside the unit. Pay close attention to plastic parts.

I want to transfer material from video cassette to dvd. I have a Sony cassette recorder slv- se610g and a sony dvd recorder rdr-gx3. Can you please tell me how?

Though Connection details are available in DVD recorder User Manual, yet here is procedure. Find Video Audio Out terminal on Cassette Recorder SLV-SE610G and hook Yellow-Red-White cable in matching color pins and other end of cable will hook in Video Audio Input terminals at DVD Recorder RDR-GX3 and please note, same color pins will be hooked. Insert desired VHS cassette in VCR and push Playback. select input source at DVD Recorder and confirm playback picture and sound of vcr at TV. Now system is ready to record VHS movie on DVD.
If you need further info, please post back here.

Camera cassette errors

Often in this situation there are two issues that can casue the problem you are having. 1. The tape is casuing the camera to "reject" it. In other words, it thinks there is something wrong with the tape so it is warning you with the error message. Perhaps the cassette has been damaged slightly. This error can also happen when the tape has been used often or taped over a few times. Solution: Try using a new tape. 2. The camera may need to be cleaned. The recording heads may be dirty and it doesn't matter what tape is placed in there. Purchase a cleaning tape from a consumer electronics store. Make sure you read the directions very carefully. These are cheap fixes. If it works, great. Otherwise it may need to be serviced by your local technician. Let me know how it goes.
