I have a Janome Memory Craft 5700 sewing and embroidery machine. When sewing using any stitch the thread on the underside of the fabric is looping and making a mess. I have adjusted the top tension, with no luck. I have adjusted the bottom tension, with no luck. Also, I have adjusted the tension settings on the screen display, also, with no luck. Can you help?

Before you take it for a service, how about cleaning the bobbin case. You have to take off the metal plate but them it lifts out easily. get a manual on line to show you how

Janome 6500 Sewing Machine. CORRECT TENSION ON 6500 JANOME SEW MACHINE please.

Question edited for clarity.
Please don't type in all CAPS, it is considered SHOUTING and is harder to read.

Sewing machine tension is a delicate tug of war between the bottom Bobbin tension and the Upper tension to put the loop between the 2 layers of fabric. You set the Bobbin tension first and the the top tension depends on the fabric and the thread used.

Your Bobbin tension is very very loose to be not tensioning at all or the top tension is too loose.

I have a Janome Memory Craft 5700. I cannot seem to get the right tension on the underside of the fabric when using a free motion foot and feed dogs lowered.

I'm not sure how free motion plays into tension. If you were just sewing regular way with an all purpose foot and feed dogs, what you've described is extreme low top thread tension, regardless of tension selector setting. It's not zero tension as that tends to ball up underside of fabric and break the top thread.

Suggest switching back to an all purpose foot and dogs up, dont rethread or change bobbin or needle. Using scrap of same or similar fabric, see if you can get it to tension correctly with a simple straight stitch.

I suspect its a bobbin tension issue but they're extremely rare.

Please comment here with results.

My Janome memory craft 4800 embroidery stitches are appearing on the bottom of fabric rather than the top. can anyone help?

Try to tighten the top thread tension. Make sure the thread is going through the tension disc.

My bobbin thread is part of my embroidery on my memory craft 11000

you may have the fabric not tight enough in the hoop or try using the same colour thread in the bobbin

I want to sell my 1991 New Home memory Craft 8000 sewing machine

A good place to see what machines are selling for is Ebay. That's where I sold a sewing machine and an embroidery machine.

It helps to know your product and machine embroidery lingo.

What are cassettes? Floppy disks? These make the machine borderline obsolete.

Memory cards are still around, but most EM now have USB connectivity or USB flash drives.

Satin thread? Embroidery machines use Rayon or Polyester embroidery thread.

Having had the machine recently serviced is also a plus.

When sewing elastic type material it keeps knoting

you may need to use a certain type of thread for jersey knits and stretch fabrics also your machine should have a setting for stretch stitches to allow for smoother sewing

Hi, I downloaded (for free) a copy of the Envision 8006 (and 8007 supplement) manual from the Elna website 2 1/2 years ago. The Envision 8007 is the same as the Janome Memory Craft 5700. I can email you a copy of the manual.
