Violent thrashing steering wheel after 3-4 minutes of running

We've utilized a reman. T-Bird R&P in conjunction with a Saginaw pump...An aftermarket pressure valve to replace OEM was recommended by "Speedway" rod parts so it was purchased and installed .. After starting the car and allowing to run for approximatley 3-4 minutes the steering wheel will thrash left to right violently and can NOT be physically held . Any ideas as to what the problem may be ? Everything purchased was either remanufactured (T-bid r&p) or new (Saginaw pump and pressure valve) ... my direst email address is ;

Not a telescope problem, but I think that the pump hoses are reversed!

What is a black bird with a brown head called?

I don't know what part of the country you're in, but in the plains, usually a black bird with a brown head is a Cowbird. It has a call that calls dripping water to mind. They are parasitic parents, in that the female lays her eggs in other birds' nests, and the young are raised by foster parents.

Rack and pinion leaking

This is on a CAR, right? Not a TELESCOPE, right? I think you are in Ireland? Right?

All jokes aside, you can replace the rubber boots on the steering box (do both sides) by first disconnecting the tie rod ball joints and removing them. You will need a tool like this Sykes Pickavant (not expensive)

Loosen the lock nuts first.

Take careful note of how many turns to unscrew the ball-joint off the tie-rod end.

Cut the securing bands on the existing rubber boots, and cut them off completely. Then slide the new boots over the tie-rod and up to the steering box, and secure with the clamp band provided. Depending on your model you may be required to inject some oil into the rubber boots first.

Then replace the ball joints the same number of turns, tighten the securing nuts and replace the split pin shown in the video. Get a wheel alignment (essential).

Yes, all astronomical telescopes have upside down images. It is perfectly normal and nothing is wrong with the scope.

If you want to use it for ground observation like bird watching you must buy what is called an erecting prism diagonal--

here is one:

Why? are you going to use the scope for terrestrial viewing -- bird watching etc etc

You do not need it for astronomical viewing--- no up or down in outer space.

Here are some:

These are usually sold in 1.25 inch size-- measure the hole in the focuser.

You can try blowing warm air on it using a hair dryer set on LOW.

Apparently the seal has gone bad. You must return these to a reputable optics repair location to get the seal fixed and nitrogen pumped inside the tube.

Hi. I share your frustration as I had the same situation with a very powerful and expensive bird spotting scope. I finally decided to get a new webcam which was compatible. For just a few dollars I ended my search and my frustration. J.
