Question about Vivitar DVR 530 Flash Media Camcorder

How do you turn on the light on the front?

On the front of the camcorder theres the bulb thing
for the light how do i turn it on
i havent been able to find out how.
the light so that videos are visible when its dark

This camera does not have a light what is on the front of the camera is a flash, not a light. It is available when you are in photo mode but not in video mode.

Sounds like the battery is faulty, or is not charging properly. Can you remove the battery and try it on another (heavy load) device? At least check with a voltmeter and put a (say) torch/car bulb across the contacts

I have a Sony Handycam CCD-TRV228 and havent used


You need to have AV cord to connect camcorder with VCR.
Required AV cord part number is 1-783-738-42 and available in Part Store.

Screen frozen white


Try turning it off with the power button on the screen, then closing it, then plugging it in... (?) That's what I would do if you havent already.

Yo do not need software drivers to operate this camcorder.

Problems!!!!!!!!!! Help..


Most usually this problem indicates that the fpc cable to the lcd has failed. Sometimes it is only a loose board connector where this cable is secured. Any way you look at it, it will need to be serviced by a professional. Good luck, magic seadog
