Question about Cameras
I don't understand how the half screen out of focus problem is occuring, but there is a focusing ring that swivels and adjusts the focus inside the lens assembly, and it is controlled by signals to electromagnets. When lint, dust, sand, etc., work it's way into the lens assembly, it can jam up the focusing ring. You can spray some compressed air into the lens assembly to try to free the ring up. After you do that, and if it doesn't work, you can try to gently bump the camera, trying to free the ring up.
Other than that, the camera will have to be serviced. Get an estimate first, since repair service can be costly.
