There are a lot of reasons for java script error.

Partly it depends on the application you are using at the time of the errors

EG if the error are more pronounce during browsing than I would be looking at possible removal and re-installation of that browser or in the case of INTERNET explorer then using the reset option available to it.

If however it is more pronounced with lets say a media player i would be looking at reducing the number of codecs that may be installed and possible the amount of players themselves

If it is in what i would term regular use of a computer then I would be looking at a possible nasty and start to employ both on-line antivirus scans and antispyware to ensure the computer itself is clean

You didn't mention specifically how much ram you have and the operating system but for most uses letting windows set its own levels is the best option unless you are stretching the computer to its limits with high end graphic applications or large database operations.

In that case more ram would be my first option along with reducing the amount of background tasks and tool bar items running

"Stack overflow at line 0"

b> A stack is a section of memory where a program stores its variables, calculations, option states and program parameters. When started, a program is allocated some memory to use for the stack; a stack overflow happens when a program exceeds its allocation. The offending program may attempt to write into adjacent memory sections, causing conflicts with other programs. Stack overflows are common with Java, C++, Perl and other runtime environments, which assist in running programs. A stack overflow at line 0 indicates that the offending program tripped up from the start; however, stack overflows can occur on any line number.

Click "Start," "Control Panel, then "Internet Options." Click on the "Advanced" tab. Check "Disable Script Debugging (IE)" and "Disable Script Debugging (Other)" under the "Browsing" options. Uncheck "Display a notification about every script error." Check "Enable Automatic Crash recovery." Click "OK." Download and install a Java update from the Java website. Download and install a Windows update. Hope this helps.

A message keeps coming up that says a script on this page is causing internet explorer to sun slowing if it continues my computer may become unresponsive i am on cable

That is an indication there is a fault with the coding of that web page or that you need to update your browser or Java platform. One of the problem we are seeing with Java of late is that some people are using beta versions in live productions before the browser update comes out supporting the language at that level. When that happens you get script errors. All you can do is try updating the Browser and Java to get it to work.

This keeps happening to many users. Recommended fixes for the many current problems include Update Adobe Flash Player Internet Explorer and Java script . Clear Explorer cache, cookies, and browsing history. Some find that a return to classic mail improves things. You could also try an alternative browser. Hope this helps..

What is a blackberry JVM error 517?

This error is a Java Virtual Machine error which indicates a memory management problem, possibly related to a hardware problem.
In short, the Java Virtual Machine was trying to store information in a place which was already allocated for something else. Since this could be a hardware-related issue, the only recourse is to reset the device. If simply reloading the device doesn't work, try removing the batteries for 3 minutes and then put them back.

Internet Explorer Script error

You may have scripting disabled in your Internet Explorer.
To enable scripting:

Click "Tools"
Click "Internet Options."
Click "Security" tab.
Click "Custom Level" button.
Scroll down to "Script ActiveX.controls marked safe for scripting"- enable
Scroll down to "Scripting - Active scripting" - enable
Scroll down to "Scripting of Java applets" - enable
Click OK
Click OK
Restart IE

Still not working ? Update software

use the links on this page to help update software.

After updating check you do not have old versions of Flashplayer, Shockwaveplayer and Java running alongside the latest - this can cause conflicts
Start / control panel / programs
delete any old versions

Java is your first problem get rid of that malware... second problem is you don't have a mac, haha, just kidding, but seriously get one.
To answer your question, I would try uninstalling your add ons 1 or 2 at a time to see which one will fix er back up. If that does not work, get Revo uninstaller from and use it remove firefox (and java) completely. You can download the newest version any time for free. Personally I dont like a lot of background processes so I use the portable version of firefox which is also free.

When visiting a site such as Friends Reunited I cannot view the site as I keep getting a message up with a yellow exclamation mark in a triangle saying: Error in addLoadEvent:(object error). I have typed...

It appears to be a Java script error.
The chances are some pages your are visiting are using Java script to deliver multilayer messages or adverts.
If you didn't have Java script installed on your machine you would get an error along the lines of "page was unable to load" so I am guessing your Java script needs updating.
Go to this site: you can either download Java or have the site check your computer to see if it has the latest copy(easiest method).
