Took Juki 654de serger to authorized repair shop- could not get the machine to stitch correctly. I was told tension knobs do not tighten like they should, said she could not fix that. Is it fixable?

Easy answer here is yes. It was made so the parts are out there to fix it. You may have to dig a bit deeper for someone to repair this or contact the manufacturer. The only problem that you may run into is the cost of the repair is not worth it over replacement.

Tiptronic 2020 stitches not working.

I would call the repair shop and tell them what the machine is
doing and tell them the machine was making the stitches before
and now it's not, and ask them why is the machine messing up?
it's possible that the machine motherboard is going out or the panel
where the buttons are has gone out.

Serger won't chain off a stitch. Stitches won't chain and hold to fabric. Added new needle, rethreaded whole machine. Stitches won't connect to fabric or make a chain.

is it possible that the needles are in backwards?
it's very possible that the machine is out of time & would have to be taken to a sewing machine repair shop to be retimed

Sewing machine won't take a single stitch

WOw Paying attention would have been best...Thread machine properly of course, insert bobbin spinning in the correct directions
a simple top stitch sounds fine. Go On You Tube and look for your machine, and a descent video of someone using it.

After cleaning my LS-2020 sewing machine, it now won't make stitches even though bobbin is in and threaded right.

Please check that the needle is in the right way, flat shank to the back and all the way up into the housing. This would cause the stitches to not form.

Failing that, if it is not picking up the bottom thread, then the timing could be out and it would need to visit the shop.

I have a pfaff grand quilter and have used it to do six quilts and has worked great but the last quilt i did the top thread kept breaking every few inches i have tried everything but in the end took it in...

I had a similar problem with the long stitches. One of the encoders for the stitch regulator was not turning all the time when I moved the machine. My dealer gave me a new one and now the machine works fine. It could also be your cable from the encoders to the machine. If the wires (very fragile) get broken, either the machine won't sew when you go side to side or back and forth, or it will make the intermittently long stitches you mentioned.

It's important to have the foot raised when you thread the machine. If you have it down, the thread won't get caught between the tension disks, and it will be very hard to get consistent stitches.
