Why does my detergent latch open up while the dishwasher is running?

If neither the detergent flap open or the rinse aid is being dispensed the this is usually down to a faulty or 'open circuit' solenoid that operates the dispensor unit.

If rinse aid levels in dispensor are ok then check if it is being used. the rinse aid setting may be set too low.

Maytag quiet series 100 leaves residue and granules all over

are you using powder detergent or liquid. you may just need to switch the type of detergent you use. liquid in my opinion is better. also you may want to check the temperature of your hot water. ideal temp for proper washin is 120 degrees F. also if you run the hot water at the sink first before running the dishwasher, that will help you.

DDO indicates on the display. Found a magnet that came off of the door dispenser, where does it go on the dispenser?

This is a door sensing magnet . When its in its place it tells the machine that the detergent dispensor is closed and will alow the machine to fill detergent dispensor it goes in the upper right corner of the detergent dispensor handle ... where location 49 is on attatchment newer models have done away with the magnet and the reed switch that senses the magnet this can be jumped out permanetly on the backside of the control panel where the detergent dispensor comes in is a white supository called a reed switch cut this and splice the two wires together and you never have to worry about losing the magnet again... or purchase new control without reed can always call for tech assistance dr.appliance dr_appliance.png

Frigidaire GLTF2940ES0 front load washer. turn it on and the water fills for 1-2 sec then turns off. replaced pressure switch and control panel. still does the same thing. someone mentioned the door...

does it ever agitate ... if it does than the door is locked ...there is a magnet that falls off these machines the detergent dispensor that tell the washer control board that the detergent dispensor is closed so water wont spray out if left open ,,,,magnet rectangle and size of a pencil rectangle shape .... you can try putting a large size magnet on the opening of dispesor shroud ,,,, usually when you replace the control board they have removed the magnetic dispensor reed switch and just jumped across the board eleminating this connection.

Bosch Slimline dishwasher Exxcel. Detergent dispenser does not open during the wash

take door outer panel off and dispenser is exposed. start cycle and with a multimeter, check power comes to the dispensor during the cycle. if you get power, then the dispensor is faulty. if no power, then the module is faulty
