Question about Datacard SP35 Printer

Open Question

Changed ribbon, now won't print, as it doesn't recognize the ribbon. All is kosher, but I must constantly hit retry and cancel and start over, but still won't print. Where to look for the prints in queue? Using EpiSuite lite.

SOURCE: data card sp35 plus ribbon break

Three things to try,

1. Try actually flipping the cards over, on side may have a burr that is cutting the ribbon.

2. Try changing the position of print on the card. Most manufactors call this EC

3. Try calibrating the ribbon sensor from with in the driver or the datcard utility that is on the bottom right of you windows desktop

Just changed toner cartridge and now it will not print

If you just changed the toner and it will not print, then the clue is the cartridge being defective. Make sure all the shipping tape and ribbons are removed and retry.

Won't print it always says document in queue

This sometimes happens if a print job freezes before, or during the print. I would suggest two things. Open up your print que, which you should be able to access from the bottom right hand side of your screen in your task bar. Right click, and open print que. If there is a print job in the que that says printing, try to right click on the job and cancel it. If this does not work and you have not done so already, restart your computer and your printer! Go back into the que if you have to and if the job is still there, right click and cancel job again. Then, retry printing a something different from your printer. This should solve your problem.

How am i going to cancel previous print? i cannot print current page.. need your answer asap, thanks

Disconnect the printer from the computer and click on start and then go to run and type in cmd and hit enter,a black colored window will come up,type in net stop spooler and hit enter and again type in net start spooler and hit enter and tehn type in exit and hit enter. Now try to cancel the document.Whne it is done, connect the printer back to the computer and reboot both the machines. Still if it doesn't work then you can try by restarting the spooler services. Let me know if it has resolved the issue

Datacard sp55 printer won't recognize ribbon

PR-01726 Ribbon Out
Out of print ribbon.
Possible Cause 1 : The print ribbon Cartridge is empty.

Solution 1 : Reload the print cartridge. Change the cleaning sleeve and replace the cartridge in the printer. Run a cleaning card as soon as printing is completed.

Possible Cause 2 : The printer ribbon is not loaded correctly.
Soultion 2 :Load the printer ribbon correctly and then close the cover.

Possible Cause 3 : This ribbon has been completely used.
Solution 3 : Use a new roll of ribbon.

Tips for Success
* When this message appears, replace the old ribbon with the new ribbon of the same type. The printer has already prepared the card data for this ribbon type. You can change the colors of monochrome ribbon (such as from dark blue to gold).

* If you must change the type of ribbon (such as (YMCKT to KT) when this message appears, install the new ribbon, cancel any cards waiting to print, and change the ribbon type settings. Finally, return to the card creation program to send the card data to print.

* If the ribbon was repaired, the wrong take-up spool was used. Repair the ribbon again, using the correct take-up spool.

If you cannot fix the problem contact your service provider for assistance.

Will not print

This happens when there is a mismatch between the firmware and the printer driver. Update both by going to the Fargosupport.com and requesting the firmware, print driver and utility. After updating and installing the driver, calibrate the ribbon sensor in the Printing Preferences of the driver.
