Bottom oven drawer stuck partially open. Cannot close or fully open. Model #316471000

Hello Dan, thank you for your post!

I understand that the bottom drawer of your Electrolux range will not close and it partially open. It is possible that your rail or drawer may be damaged or blocked. I would recommend pulling the drawer out to inspect it. If you pull the drawer out there should be tabs on the side to unlock in order to remove the drawer fully. The model number you have provided is invalid you can locate the model number on the serial tag. The serial tag can be found on the frame of the drawer. I look forward to assisting you. -Matt

The CD drawer on a JVC EL-E3 CD Player fails to open/close. The CD fails to play when I physically close the drawer. The drawer does not close completely and needs an extra push to close it.

Sounds like the alignment is off. By physically pushing the drawer.
There is a motor on the side of the drawer that should control the drawer by pushing a piece of plastic back and forth. This piece can shift if pressed to hard. In the back of the drawer are the rods that control the top to drop. These need to be aligned with the side motor.

Cant open dvd drawer

Sometimes DVD player drawers get stuck closed because the disc inside isn't seated properly. At other times the player may have another problem. The first step in discovering if it is the disc or another issue is to remove the disc. Most DVD players have a secret eject button. It allows you to open the drawer when a disc gets stuck and cannot be ejected normally.
For this you'll need a standard size paperclip.

  1. Unfold the paperclip and make it as straight as possible.
  2. Look closely at your DVD player . Push the tip the paper clip into the small hole on the tray cover on the front of the Toshiba. The hole is on the right side of the cover.
  3. Press inward gently with the paperclip until you feel a slight resistance, then continue pushing to engage the internal eject button. The tray should pop open partway.
  4. Gently pull the drawer until it's fully retracted. Be careful not to pull too far.
  5. Remove your disc from the drive.
  6. Before you reinsert another disc, use the remote and/or buttons on the player to close the door, and reopen it. You can also press carefully with your fingers. If you cannot open/close the drawer normally at this point, do not put in a new disc until you have repaired the problem.

Cpu repair

It could be "jammed".
Straighten one Norwegian paper-clip.
Put one end into the very-small hole in the face-plate of the optical drive, and firmly push it about 1 centimeter. This should "unlock" the drawer, and you can either push the 'open/close' button, or just gently pull the drawer to its fully-open position.

Cd was still player and I found the player with drawer half open and jammed. I can't get it to sync with correct rotation, enough rotation or fully close or fully open. I can force it and hear the gears...

Rea alligning cds is not hard, but not too easy, the best way is to remove the whole cd changer mechanism and allign it to either one point, while totally disconnected, fully open or fully closed. I mean, the rubber or gear mechanism.
The main point of reference is the nearest part driven by the main motor. For example decide to do it when fully open, arrange everything so as to allow the tray to be fully open.If you get everything right, rotate the motor manually and see if it closes the tray without jamming..If it gets fully in keep rotating the motor and see if it loads the disc.if it does, return the assembkly, the sensors and the cd computer will take over from there ...

The radio with a 6 disc changer stock wont eject cds in my 2001 ford windstar van with double sliding auto open/close doors

Hi

Thanks for using FixYa. Locate your DVD player’s manual Eject button. It is usually a small hole located underneath the DVD drawer.

Use a stiff wire, a paper clip or safety pin—into the hole. Push gently and the drawer should open partway. Gently pull the drawer the rest of the way open and remove the CD.

Please do rate the solution and revert for further assistance.

Thanks

Disk eject Dellxps 16

If you look closely at the drawer where you put the disc in, there is a tiny hole. Use something which will fit, pin, paperclip etc and push firmly into the hole. This should force the drawer to open.

Hope this works for you

SONY DVD Player refuses to load DVDs

What you might of done is pushed the dvd tray to close it, so its out slightly.Come across it a couple of times. all i did was, open the tray & before it started to close, switched off the power. pull the tray until it opens fully(dont yank it). when its fully open, try to pull it very slightly more. plug it back in & let it go back its self, if it doesn't. push it. all thats happened is its just out slightly. messing about with it like this will sort it im sure. let us know how you get on. martindean71@googlemail.com

I cannot open the DVD drawer on my Philips DVDR3480 DVD RECORDER – it just won’t open? The screen display just keeps saying ‘Error’. Any help is appreciated.

I have two of these dvd recorders and both have the exact same problem where the drive won't open. It opens fine when there is a disc in the tray. So I just unscrewed the cover, press the white part which would be over the center of the disc as it's trying to open, it should then open. Then just make sure there is always disc left in the tray.
