SOURCE: Fridge freezer shorting out electrics

The cause of this situation could simply be an overloaded circuit. Homes are built with dedicated circuit for fridge only now because of this. If you notice power outage in other rooms or other appliances in kitchen then the circuit affected,I.E. other outlets affected need the load lightened. If it is a dedicated circuit then could be faulty breaker or possibly altered wiring could be cause. These have to be ruled out before you will know for sure. If it isn,t dedicated outlet for fridge only, just plugging in a light could overload loaded circuit.

SOURCE: Frigidair side by side refigerator fan not operating

I do see the power to the evaporator fan section going through the adaptive defrost part number 240554502 It would not hurt to unplug for a few moments and open the control panel inside the fresh food section and examine that control board. With it doing that you may see signs of heat or burn marks on the ADC Let me know, Sea Breeze

SOURCE: GE Artica PSS25MGMB Stopped cooling/freezing, everything else works, lights, fans, just no cold and no compressor start sounds?

I would suspect the start relay and capacitor! With the clicks and buzzes, that is the most likely fault. Although you could replace one or the other of them, I always replace as a mated pair, because it seems that when one of them fails, the other one will fail shortly after. Items 733 and 734 on the following schematic (which also gives you an idea of what they look like and where they are located)

freon. dirty coils under refrig. fan motor by comp. not working. make sure first of all comp. is running if not make sure freezer fan is. if that the case you need a relay starter overload or a compressor.

Do you think GE TBX18KMB refigerator save energy?

most refrigarators now a days that have energy star rating use less power to run by having a inverter that inverts ac volts to dc votls and all motors (compressor, freezer fan&compressor fan)run on dc voltage it take one eighth of the power to run a motor on dc that it does on ac, so a motor that use to take 120 vac to run now takes 15 volts dc to run at the same exact speed. So yes they save power

We have Goodman AC unit...not sure what kind. It has blown VERY cold until the last few days where it would stay a little above where I had it set. Then yesterday I realized it was incredibly hot. My...

Problem #1:Outdoor condensing fan motor has stopped running. This problem could be caused by a bad motor run capacitor.
If your motor capacitor is not the problem, then more than likely you need a new motor. Is the fan blade tight, stiff or hard to turn? If the fan blade is hard to turn then you probably need a new motor. Problem #2: Air conditioner compressor will not start. When power is applied to the air conditioning outdoor unit the fan starts, but you hear a sound like the compressor is trying to start, "UGGG"..., for about 5 to 10 seconds and then all you hear is the outdoor condenser fan run. The compressor is locked and will not start. What is happening is the compressor is trying to start, but because the compressor motor is locked it tries to start for a few seconds and then because of the high amperage being drawn goes off on internal overload. The internal overload protects the compressor windings from overheating and burning up. I see this many times during the start of the air conditioning season. Some compressors just have a hard time starting after sitting all winter long. Some compressors are locked up so bad that I can not start them and must tell my customer that they need a new compressor . Many times I can get the compressor started again without having to buy a new compressor or new air conditioning system by using the device called, "Super-Boost." I keep two or three of these on the truck. They have saved many of my customers from having to buy new air conditioning systems.

Need info for a kenmore side by side refrigerator model#59652673202 it it not cooling nor freeszing ; the light works and the fan works but not cooling any side please help me

Good day,
With that amount of info it would be hard to try to pinpoint it. Here's a list of items that can cause a refrigerator to not cool.

Items that will cause a refrigerator not to cool.....
1. Defective thermostat
2. Defective freezer fan motor
3. Defective defrost timer
4. Defective defrost thermostat
5. Defective defrost main heater.
6. Defective condenser fan motor
6. Defective compressor overload protector
7. Defective compressor start relay
8. Defective compressor start/run capacitor (some models only)
9. Defective compressor
10. Restriction in refrigeration sealed system
11. Loss of refrigerant (leak)
12. Excessively dirty condenser
13. Broken wires, bad wire harness connectors, ect.
14. Defective fan motor switch (some models only)

As you can see it could be one of many, many items. If your handy with a meter you might want to start at the bottom back of the machine where the compressor is located.
Sounds as if it is not running, or running without refrigerant in the system.
Also, if it has a cooling fan motor in that area, make sure it runs, since all fan motors are wired to run at the same time.

Not getting cold on both side refigerator .and the ice maker is not working.

Good day,
The ice maker locks out if the machine is not at normal temperature.
So the cooling system has to be repaired first.
Here is a list of items on a standard refrigerator that would prevent it from cooling.
1. Defective thermostat
2. Defective freezer fan motor
3. Defective defrost timer
4. Defective defrost thermostat
5. Defective defrost main heater.
6. Defective condenser fan motor
6. Defective compressor overload protector
7. Defective compressor start relay
8. Defective compressor start/run capacitor (some models only)
9. Defective compressor
10. Restriction in refrigeration sealed system
11. Loss of refrigerant (leak)
12. Excessively dirty condenser
13. Broken wires, bad wire harness connectors, ect.
14. Defective fan motor switch (some models only)

So you need to give us some idea how it is acting.
Is it running ??
Are there any unusual noises and coming from which part of the machine ??
Was the failure instant or over an extended period ??
Is there frost or ice building up in the freezer compartment ??

Please be detailed as possible.
The list above is what a trained service tech would use if he made a service call to the house.
A refrigerator is not a simple device.

I have an admiral refigerator (top freezer) less than 3 years old. The unit sat in a vacant house unplugged for about a year and now will not cool. Any suggestions

Good day,
Check in the freezer compartment to see if you can hear the fan motor running. They will freeze up if left off for extended periods of time.
Another fan motor on the bottom back near the compressor can suffer the same fate.
If both check O.K. Then since it's under 5 years you could have a refrigerant leak or a compressor problem that is under factory warranty.
Call your selling dealer for service.

My U-line under counter refigerator ice maker evap fan failed

Depends, for the newer models, you can change the evap fan motor thru the front, but if you have the older model, then you have to remove the freezer housing, ice maker assy then the cover to change the evap fan motor.
