Question about Televison & Video
I'm sorry for uninformative answers for your Sony Bravia tv, I'm Sony tech and can assist you to solve it.
Let me know exact model number of tv written at back and what you have been tried so far to fix the problem info.
Does tv show on-screen display in any input?
This will help me to diagnose problem.
Solution-1 and Solution-2 are totally unrelated and both guys have no idea about tv repair. I would recommend FY Admins to take off their TV Badge, they do not deserve TV Badge.

This is a classic switchmode power supply, shutting down to avoid a fire, explosion, or both. This set had developed a problem, that is so severe that the set must be shut down, This set should be removed from the Power, and in my professional recommendation, you should get a "Quote" for repair, from, an, Approved Service Center, look below for the Sony, service center locator. This point is very important for a good result, Always contact, their local, "Head Office" Now, when you get the information you want, then you can decide as to repair of replacement. The reason we want an approved agent, is that way, all the engineers are trained on their own brand sets, they have seen almost all faults, and will get the job done quicker, and for less cost, and usually have parts on hand, also sometimes, there has been a service bulletin in issued and the repair may be subsided or even free.
FYI, is a service and repair manual. Should you decide that you may wish to troubleshoot this yourself, not really recommended, however i have included the link for you.

Thanks for using FixYa.From what you have described it seems the issue is with the power board or the main board and we’ll need to check few things. When you open the unit up; take a look at the power board-the board where the power cords/plugs goes into. You might see some filter capacitors a little bulged up in the top-If this is the case-this is your defective part(you can try to replace them-but some soldering equipment is needed). If not, then probably the main board has gone bad. This is the other board-where all the inputs are going into. All this is only recommended if you have electrical expertise and know how to solder/re-solder components. Please note that the TV components consists high voltages even when in off position. Please do accept the solution if the issue is resolved or post a comment for further assistance.

When an error occurs, the POWER LED will flash a set number of times to indicate the possible cause of the problem. If there is more than one error, the LED will identify the first of the problem areas. If the errors occur simultaneously, the one that corresponds to the fewest flashes is identified first.
