Use bar and chain oil. It sounds obvious but it is marked as such and is as thick as honey to stick the the chain better. Most any box store (Home Depot, Lowes) will carry it as well as any store that carries out door power equipment. Don't use motor oil, it will drain out of your saw fast and doesn't lubricate the bar as well.

What kind of oil or oil mixture do I need to use my Remington 2.0 HP 14" Electric Chain Saw?

Hi brown9148..
The only oil you need for your electric chain saw is "Bar and Chain" oil...specially formulated oil sold at Loews,HomeDepot,Ace Hardware, Auto parts stores,etc...
You use this oil to lubricate the chain and bar of your chainsaw when you are using it.
It will go into the oil tank and auto feed to the chain and bar...but keep a check on the oil level to make sure it is being used.
Refill tank when needed.

I have a 3.0 hp electric remington 16" chain saw what kind of oil do i use in it

Hi,

Use bar and chain oil, not regular motor oil. Bar and chain oil has an additive especially for chainsaws.

Hope this helps. If it does, I'd appreciate your vote. Thanks for visiting fixya.com

What kind of oil does a Remington 3.25 (Peak hp) 16"/40, 6 cm Electric chain saw take

You need to use bar & chain oil. It's thicker and stickier that regular oil so it will stay on the bar and chain and not run out of the saw when you are done using it.

I have an Remington 3.25 (Peak Hp) 16"/40, 6 cm electric chain saw, And I have just a few questions 1.) Does it take oil/gas or just oil and if so what kind. 2.) How would I tighten the chain, its...

It uses oil only to lubricate the chain. The type of oil in not critical although special chain saw oil is available. If you use anything but chain saw blade oil, make sure that it is a light oil, both in viscosity and in colour because it is a total loss system and dark or dirty oil can become very messy. The chain adjustment is on the body at the end of the blade, it actually moves the blade in or out to set the chain tension. The chain should be tensioned that when it is pulled at the bottom, the guides of the chain should not quite come out of the slot in the blade. If the chain is too tight it overheats the blade and stretches the chain.

I am unsure of what kind of oil to put in my 12" chainsaw(electric)?

Well, if it's electric it doesn't need the 50:1 or 25:1 gasoline to oil ratio 2 cycle oil.

It needs bar chain oil , which is thick and lubricates the chain. Only this kind of oil is required for your chain saw.

Remember to adjust the tension on your chain.

According to the manufacturer... "Use SAE 30 motor oil for best results. (For temperatures below 30° F, use SAE 10. For temperatures above 75° F, use SAE 40.) DO NOT use Bar & Chain oil." So, I suggest for any Remington electric chains saw not to use bar and chain oil. I hope this helps...
