You can start a scan from your computer or from your HP OfficeJet. to scan an original from your Windows computer 1 Load your original either on the glass or in the automatic document feeder (ADF). 2 Press Start Scan. A scan of the original appears in the HP Preview window. 3 In the HP Preview, you can edit the scanned image. When you have finished, click Accept.

The HP OfficeJet does a final scan of the original and sends the image to the HP Photo & Imaging Gallery.
If you haven't done so, install the cd that comes with the HP Officejet package. Once correctly install, you should go to "All Programs" and locate "HP Solution Center" Click on HP Solution Center, click "Settings", click "Scan settings and preferences", choose either "scan document" or "scan picture" If word document then under File type: locate "PDF(*.pdf) If document is a picture then under File type: locate "JPEG image(*.jpg), click ok. Step 2 Choose between Scan Picture or Scan Document, click accept Step 3 your file is locate under "My scan" Hope that helps
Hi, When you had the doucment feed jam were you able to clean or remove any paper that might be blocking the paper to be scanned? It sounds like there is paper still in the document feeder , I would open the DF and check very closely to make sure no paper is in the way!Good Luck!
