You need to figure out what firmware your ipod has. For example, your ipod must have firmware v1.2 or later. Buy a Sansa, they are cheaper, have more features, allow the user more control and they will pork with your system.

Trying to play flash drive in USB port on stereo

Make sure that the music files are indeed mp3 format. An iPod will play several different formats but most av head units only play mp3. A lot of the songs that are downloaded from iTunes are actually mp4

I need directions to connect my mp3 player to my pioneer deh 3700mp car stereo

Assuming that you're not trying to connect an iPod or iPhone, you will need an additional adapter. For your particular unit, that will be a Pioneer CDRB10 Auxiliary input adapter for P-Bus receivers (approximately $40). You'll also need a stereo mini plug to RCA adapter (about $15 for a good one of around 6 ft). You'll plug this adapter into the headphone jack of your MP3 player and the RCA ends of the adapter into the RCA ends of the Pioneer CDRB10. Then for the hard part, you'll need to plug the other end of the Pioneer CDRB10 to the rear of your stereo head unit. That will mean pulling the unit out and doing some fishing so that the wires are hidden and leading to a location where you can functionally attach and detach your MP3 player.

How are you wiring the Pioneer DEH 1400 to the Renault?
The Pioneer uses standard radio wiring, you must not have power and ground connected properly if you have nothing happening.

My cd player says error 16 when i plug my ipod in... my ipod in turn will stop and the startup screen will appear....

Car stereo devices require compartibility to USB connections. Refer to the car stereo user guide on requirements on setting up USB connectivity. The car audio would recommend the brands, media codes that are compartible to achieve an experience. Consult an audion electrical technician thereafter. Goodluck

Charging the mp3mp4 player

  1. Get a USB wall charger. These are AC adapters that plug directly into the outlet. You then plug the USB from your MP3 into the port on the adapter.
  2. Charge your MP3 player on the go. There are also charging kits that plug into the cigarette lighter or power plug in your car. These kits come with a DC power adapter that has a port on the end for you to plug in your MP3.
  3. Acquire Apple iPod specific chargers. When you need to charge your iPod music player through an outlet, look for the Universal USB car charger or the Universal USB travel charger made specifically for Apple products.
Make sure that you have your player on a power strip or surge protector so that if you get a surge you wont fry your player.

How to make mp3 work on DEH P3500 ?

when it says mp3 it means you can hook an mp3 player to the stereo and play music that way. if you have an mp3 player you need a cable that will hook the mp3 player to the stereo and you can get that cable from pioneer.
