I have reconnected my system - I can "hear" the power when I rub the needle - I know its on, but the turntable will not turn - I checked the rubber under the turntable and it is around the plate and over the gold piece - what is next?
There is one more issue at hand. The platter motor runs on a DC voltage. If everything that Davis said has checked out and nothing is preventing the platter from turning, you are missing the voltage. For more information, or should you have further questions, please visit my website at audioserviceclinic.com. Thank you.
There is really nothing else to it. If the drive belt is in tact, and properly installed, and the spindle motor is rotating properly, your turntable should rotate. There's nothing else that rotates the platter. Just make sure the belt is wrapped around the spindle motor.
