I have a Casio tv-995and I can't figure out where the batteries go, or how to open it.

Seems you replace the batteries on the front bottom of the unit or the back. If you do change the batteries you may not be able to use it as most is digital nowadays. Unless you have a analog station near by you won't pick anything up.

Shortcut battery with AC contact. AC can be found on the sides of watch movement(very tiny). You have to use pointed tweezers: one end on battery+, another on AC contact for three secs.

mcdevito75 here, I'm figureing you"ve changed the battery, Pressing the MODE button should re-start your watch. If you didn"t change the battery and your watch just stopped, try pressing the MODE or any button to re-start the watch. If nothing, change the battery and repeat the above instructions.

I have a Casio GS-300 watch. I need to change the batteries, but cannot figure out how to get the back off. Do you have any ideas as to how I can do this.

did u ever figure out how to get the retaining clip?

hold the tv with the front facing the top; then under the tuning buttons you should be able to push and slide down the bottom of the tv.. if i had a bigger picture of what yours look like then i could help more. or even go to casio.com and get manual for it.

when inserting a new battery.....step #4

AC (AC CLEAR) touch the AC contact and the battery +(positive) side with metal tweezers for about two seconds.
Contacting the AC (all clear)is necessary when a new battery is installed to clear the previous memory to avoid erratic display..
I am going to get a new battery for it soon I want to play with it....and figure out how navigate through the functions.

oh yah......the pictures are extremly small but the AC contact point is apparently marked? inside the case obviously next to the battery close enough for the needle nose tweezers to reach each contact. I havent unscrewed my case yet, I want to have everything I need at hand like the battery before I dive into this thing. I dont mean to dumb it down, I was trying to keep it simple as the manual is 55 pages and a little confusing. I hope this helps the battery problem. I will try to delve into the reset problem from the other post..each function appears to have a reset option ......maybe crack the case open and try the new battery all clear thing with tweezers...maybe this would reboot so to speak the entire watch , being mine does not work and have only had it in hand for two hours I am pretty clueless, I was looking for how much the watch costs...i didnt relize it was a fairly old model, the new ones with the compass look very cool. anyhow goodluck
