In case nobody answers you I think I can help a bit. However I used the clarification to avoid a decrease in my ratings. Too often people dont even try to answer a problem for fear their rating will drop.
Regardless to answer your question somewhat. If that unit has a big heavy transformer then it is possible to replace it with a 240volt one and it would work. If it uses newer inverter style technology then the system board would have to be replaced.
If you tried to use it on 240 voltage, and it worked, its output would be low. In other words it would not work at 80 amp performance.
I have a much smaller unit that will work either 220 or 110. These things are very sensitive in the area of electronics. Even a small problem with the tip and they quit working.
If I was you and the price was a very good deal Id ask the owner to verify that it would work at 240. If he wouldn't then I wouldn't buy it. I honestly do not think it would work on 240 volts. But I doubt many with cutting experience on here would know either. Which is why I went to the trouble to give my thoughts on it.
I cut and weld and have some knowledge of electronics and that is what I base my suggestions on.
    Good luck chief.

I doubt it. You will need the model number to determine for sure. There are two models that are listed for 460/580 with no mention of other voltages. Get the exact model number and you can download a manual at:

Howw do you make a Samsung bd-F5700 blue ray player operate on a 240 volt power supply

You'll need to bring the voltage down to 110-120 volt. Travel converters do this cheap and effective. The player only uses 12 Watt according to the manual. You could use an old 3 prong extension cord to cut of the connector to connect to your power supply. Get the converter below and plug it into the adapter, who then will fit in the extension cord.

How do you switch from 240 volts to 115 volts on magnum force pump

Is the motor a Dual voltage capable motor?

If so, the diagram for voltage change should be on the label.
It is also on the inside of the back cover were the wiring comes into the motor.

Most likely it is an AO Smith Motor that Jacuzzi used for their pump. The newer motors today are really easy to switch between voltages. There are 3 male spades on the back of the motor and a wiring plug with 2 female connections. You should easily see a diagram/bold arrow, for which 2 connections/spades are for 240 and which 2 for 120. Just lift and move the plug to one side or the other. 1 spade will not be used.

Take a look at the picture:

I have a electric dryer Model WED5810SW0 THAT I WAS TOLD I COULD CONVERT TO 120V from 240v is this true and if so how do i do this?

If you consider doing this the first thing is SHUT THE MAIN BREAKER OFF. Use an auxiliary light source to see when working in a dead panel. Always keep in mind an ARC FLASH ACROSS HOT MAINS HAS ENOUGH HEAT TO PEAL THE SKIN OFF OF YOU. Before an explanation of how to do it you should keep in mind that this is for a single receptacle only. If any other receptacles are on the same circuit they will also be changed to 240 volt receptacles and if you plug any 120 volt device into them, the 120 volt device will be destroyed. That said OK, any 120 volt outlet can be changed to 240 volt by removing the 120 volt circuits neutral, re identifying the white wire with red or black phase tape and connecting it to a new 2 pole 15 amp breaker. The maximum that this circuit will now load up to is, on #14 wire at 80% = 12 amps at 240 volts. The 120V receptacle must be changed to a 15A - 240V receptacle so that 120 volt devices can not be plugged into it. Never use 2 single pole breakers together because code requires that on a fault trip both legs of the 240V circuit must be disconnected simultaneously. Sounds to me like the Power Controller has gone bad. These are a real tricky, dangerous, things to fix yourself, I recommend that you call the service rep, for Power Mate, and cut your losses.

I need to convert this welder to operate on 400 volts,it currently operates on 240 volts,i have no tap diagram, can anyone help?

400 is a very odd voltage. You could use a stepdown transformer from 400 to 240, but that would be a very large transformer no matter what voltage you are starting at.

This must be a European or other country as the common USA voltages are 120, 240, 277, 480, 660 fior example.

Need to convert my 110 volt 15amp to 240 volt

You can buy a transformer which allows all 110v power tools to work from a 240v supply. You will also need to change the plug on the compressor to a yellow 110v type. You can buy transformers for around £25 and around £3 for the plug
