Question about Alpine CDA-9827 CD Player

1 Answer

My alpine CDA-9827 is currently not turning on. We took of the face plate and it was unused for a couple months and now that I put it back in, it wont turn on. No lighting up, no sound, no nothing. I live in Arizona so could it be that the heat did something to the wiring? I also cant seem to get the deck to pull out of the car so I can look at the wiring. It is in there tight. Is there some sort of release button to get it out?

There is a lock whicch has to be removed by inserting the KEY that comes with the set . However if you do not have this with you , you might have to use thin flat blade of about 10 cms width to push into the sides after removing the front panel.
Before the set is removed check for the fuse on the fuse panel , If fuse is Ok then the set has to be removed.
Once the set is removed then the positive from the switch and the main continuous positive must tbe present on the line. if not trace and correct.
However if the power is fine then you have to clean the front panel and also the connections on the base panel. Fix the front panel. If the set does not power then you will need to open set and check on the mother board for failure of the regulator, the micro controller, check power to these sections.

Is the CDA-9827 capable of playing songs from an mp3 player (does it have an input option)?

The Alpine CDA-9827 only has an input connector for an external CD Changer.

You could get an FM Transmitter for your MP3 Player, and play your MP3 Player using your FM Radio in your Stereo.

Here is an excellent MP3 Player FM Transmitter:

Alpine CDA 9827 using aux mode with ipod shuffle via rca inputs

Unfortunately, the rca outputs are to control an amplifier or crossover. They do make an ipod adapter for that radio, which allows you to control the ipod through the radio. Best Buy or any Alpine dealer should carry something for around $25.

Can not turn the bass and treble up or down on my alpine CDA-9827

ok i cant see your entire question but to adjust bass and treble on an alpine, you see the knob (the one which u use to turn volume up and down), push it in (itll click) then a screen/textt will come up and say bass or an option once it says bass, turn the knob up or down, then press in again and it will say treble or fader or something else, once again, adjust it and keep pressing in the knob until u reach the volume again. does it work? is this what u wanted?

No sound to the in car speakers from my alpine cda-9827 cd player

What kind of car did you install this in? Did it have a factory radio in it? If I had to take a guess I would think that there is a factory amp that you may have hooked the blue wire from the alpine deck to. If this is the case when you switch to CD the alpine deck turns off the power to the power antenna lead(blue wire) and thus your factory amp. If this is the case hook the factory amp turn on to the blue and white wire and you should be good to go.
